And you think you might have caused it?
Today I has a work lunch with two of my partners, husband and wife. Things started pleasant enough, she asked about my wife's pregnancy and I replied and also jokingly asked when she and her husband are going to "get to work" for a baby of their own. Immediately the atmosphere got cold.
The rest of the lunch went well up until we started to discuss shipments and money, they started talking over each other and argue, and I mean things of the like "shut your f*cking mouth" and "f*ck off". I excused myself for a moment to let them sort it out, but when coffee was served and the wife accepted the liquor I offered, the husband said "she was already drunk, never eats sh*t and of course she sucks the bottle like a d*ck". Then they made me part of their argument, the wife saying that her husband should "learn from me" and the husband retorting her to admit that she called me a "snake" and "criminal" at home.
Then she stormed off and I offered to call her and Über since she had come with her husband, she said she would walk and went away on foot. Her husband stayed another hour assuring me there would be no problems and that I won't have to deal with her anymore. Thoughts?
She specifiied she will accept all my requests in the conditions I do not contact her husband.
Sounds fishy and in my opinion she's trying to undercut him.
