So my wife is continuing to lie to me should I call her out on it?

So years ago we were moving. She had this desk full of stuff and asked me to pack it. When packing it I found and read a ton of things from old love letters from ex's, a diary from years prior, a camera that contained a home video, etc. It caused lot of issues and fights. We have gotten over it. We'll last night we're watching TV and talking. She said something I know to be a lie. Because I read her old diary. She knows I read it we've fought and argued about it in the past. I shouldn't have read it she shouldn't have lied are the conclusions we came to. But she's still lying about things I know she knows I know the truth about. Should I let it go or call it out. I don't want to fight more. I just want us to be honest with each other.

Let the past be the past. Sometimes we change the story about the past because we have second thoughts about it. Now and the future are much more important than the past.

Does whatever she is lying about really matter / have any relevance in your current relationship with her? I’ll go out on a limb and guess no…. otherwise you would have given more detail about the lie itself. If not, drop the topic and move on.

BTW…. you shouldn’t have gone through any of her past, personal stuff without her permission. No offense meant…. but that is an action usually done by an insecure, low confidence individual. Trust the person you are with or move on.

I mean what are the lies about? Do they really matter? What you should do is really based on what the lies are and if the things she’s lying about affect your or your relationship in a bad way.

They are almost always about her past. Short story she cheated on her ex. According to her dairy she's cheated on minimum 5 ex's. No proof she ever cheated on me. But cheated on the last guy with me. Found that out later. We were watching a movie and talking about the military. I said snipers are deranged she brought up an ex that was a snipper a d said he came back unhinged after his tour. Now according to her diary they were happy until he found out she cheated on him.

She's admitted to cheating on each one of her previous exes in her diary. Honestly, considering she's also lied to you on various occasions, I would have already divorced her on the grounds that she's more than likely committing adultery.
