What is your mate selection strategy?

We are all evolved to act the way we do today.

I have noticed I am very concentrated on male looks and I don’t care whether he can be financially well-off or not, as long as I am very attracted to him, he has a sweet, devoted personality, loves me and is so attractive that I know all the other women are jealous, I am happy to call him mine.

So, what I assume is this might be my mate selection strategy, called Sexy Son Strategy

In my family all the men are highly attractive, starting from my great grandpas, all of them used to be heartbreakers in their prime. All of them were sought after by women. My brother is also a very attractive young man and girls do things, I’d never imagine a girl would do, just to get his attention.

I figured - having an attractive son is very important, daughter can easily pass on her genes, because women are highly sought after anywhere, she won’t have a problem to find someone, men though, have it harder - if unattractive. So, I think my subconscious mate selection strategy might be sexy son strategy, my ex fiance was one of the hottest man I have seen and he was head over heels in love with me, I don’t like to think of having anyone less than him in future.

Also, the things that women do for men who they deem to be attractive is crazy - one girl left her long term fiance just to spend one night with my younger brother.

Another one, a very attractive young woman, much more attractive than me - cut herself, whey brother called it quits. Another one got married when she broke up with my brother, as a child ay to revenge for a break up and 1 year later messaged my brother, if she still wants her she will divorce her husband. My brother refused.

I grew up in a very neglectful household with parents who argued all the time and there lacked warmth in the home.


I believe I subconsciously may desire the best partner for a loving marriage, so that I have raise a loving family, so that my children will be surrounded by nothing but love and see what a healthy marriage looks like and what having parents that love them should feel like.


From an evolutionary standpoint, this would allow them to develop much better mentally and emotionally, which in term would help them succeed in life, since 80% of success is depended on one’s mentality.


I’m personally high-achieving despite my upbringing. But, I know with the support of loving parents my own children will have the potential to achieve even more.


Love optimizes psychological and emotional development which in turn leads to assertive confident children with no mental health struggles, which leads to higher achievement and success in life.

I think you're the type of chick I usually attract. I make jokes out of questions like "soooo, what do you do?" and my response is going to be "Not working and playing video games!" To be honest, I'm not really very focused on looks. It's not my priority. The kind of people I like are the ones with intelligence, good sense of humour, great personality and whether we have that chemistry.. how he treats me so good. How honest he is. These are the things when I see/notice in a guy, I find him attractive. The looks is something I get over with in a second. Like if I meet a stranger and that stranger looks good. I'll think "He's good looking" and get over it. Finding someone attractive doesn't make me attracted to him. It's the things I mentioned gets me interested and then emotional closeness that makes me attracted to him... So, even if I meet an average looking guy, I will get attracted to him the moment I get emotionally close with.

So, yeah, it's the intelligence, sense of humour... Great personality that I look for in a guy.

My "female selection strategy" is much simpler. Find a legal-aged, consenting woman, who is intelligent, funny, caring, honest, loyal, compatible and complementary. If I can find that I'd be over the moon!

For example, as a younger man, I was looking for the perfect woman. That's less important now, cuz she could have The Perfect Face & Body, and be completely UGLY!

I think when I get older I’ll be less shallow, because what’s the point of having a hot guy if I am not going to have children with him, so I’ll be less shallow.

The reason I am very picky is that, I want children and I want my children to have the best survival chances, the best chance to make sure that my children will always be wanted, will live with less drama and will have it easier at life is to make sure I’ll have a nice looking partner.

Life is already hard, no need to make it harder for my children, by them worrying about their unattractiveness. If they happen to be less attractive I will love them no less and I will guide and teach them all I know, but wouldn’t they be happier if they were confident and in the center of attention?

Physically attractive. Fit. Intelligent. Of late, it’s been about casting a wide net. But it takes a backseat to livelihood. Those two would become intwined.

I’m supportive of women believing in themselves in getting an education and entering the workforce. They may not outperform me, but I’d rather they have the ability to chase me than be pigeonholed into being carried by me. That doesn’t mean they have to carry themselves in all situations, we’re allowed to ask for help.

I think it’s difficult to articulate this strategy where your subconscious is at play when in someone’s presence.
