Should people in love break-up?

Hello! Be and my boyfriend have been together since 7th grade. My mom has told me since we started dating that we can't stay together forever we have to date other people. Neither one of us want to do that we are happily in love and rarely have a fight (its been almost 3 and 1/2 months since we had a fight)! But my mom doesn't agree. He is the only person I have ever dated... So I came to y'all for help!! Thank you in advance <3!

Listen, outsiders especially parents and family in general should not have a say in your relationship that's none of their business. I'm sorry to say this but your mom's advice is complete BS. Sometimes you love someone but you just know they're not the right ones for you and eventually you'll need to break up even though you love each other but this doesn't seem to be the case at least for now and from what you say. If you're happy in your relationship then don't change anything leave it as it is and be happy and again do not let outsiders give you opinions on what to do in your relationship you're grown enough to know what's best for you.

My parents are together since they were 16, they are my role model of a good marriage so I would say you to not listen to your mum and listen to your heart. There is nothing bad in being with one person, I even think its the ideal thing. One friend of my family told me that its very dificult to understand fully a person and you have to learn all your life to discover all the details of that person. Its romantic but Im also so... 🤗

sounds like either jealousy or trauma, even tho most first relationships dont work out, there's many that do, i havr actually met a few on here that are still woth their first partner and married, love isn't predictable

Stay together, ignore your mom's advice, she doesn't know what she's talking about, and is just trying to mess up your relationship (probably because hers failed and she's jealous, but either way its bad advice to break up).

It's MUCH better to only ever be with 1 person for life, especially if you've known them a long time.

If you are both happy, get married and never divorce.

It's more likely that she deoesn't want you to stay together, because if you 2 work out, then she has to admit her marriage failed for reasons that have nothing to do with how many people she dated.
You are not your mom and your boyfriend is not her ex husband. She needs to stop projecting her issues ont your situation. Her marriage failed because they didn't get along.
