How to help an Uber Driver, who just asked my number and got fired for it?

3 days ago young and probably new Uber Driver asked my number, at the end of the drive, he also asked if I have a boyfriend.

I got contacted from the APP today and yesterday, asking if I am alright and telling that on behalf of the APP the driver got fired and his car that belonged to the APP was also taken away from him for 15 days.

I feel so guilty…

I never reported him, I even went out of my way to send him tip now that I heard this news and also, gave him a high rating.

I have called the APP to check if they unbanned him, but seems like they still have banned him.

I feel guilty, I just engaged back in a friendly conversation I didn’t want anybody to have financial or work problems because of me.

I can’t stop thinking that what if he has a family to take care of and he got banned because of me.

What else could I do to help?

I already let customer service know that he didn’t do anything wrong and that I think he was a good driver and I have no complaints and asked him to unban him, but they told me he violated customer privacy or something.

I don't think the app records what drivers say. I have ridden on ubers so many times over the years and the drivers are always talking to someone on their phones. I'm pretty sure the uber app does not record what the driver says. Likely what happened was someone else reported him for asking them for their number. Uber will not know unless a customer reports.

It was unfortunate to hear but also, they didn't unban him because not every girl understands you like him and if he does same with another girl, they are scared that they will lose the reputation of brand due to him so they must be still banning him. Now about the uber driver case, you tell me, if i was only me and you in the car and something happened with us, how come someone who wasn't present with us, knows what have happened with us, there must be someone who have sued the uber driver to the management, also how did you know that he was fired and how can they fire him without a reason and let's say he got fired not because of you than why are you blaming yourself for what have happened with him? Also if you're balming yourself for it and considered that what he did with you cost him his job, than how did they know about the story? 🤔 see there's something wrong in this story...

Yes, you got some things right about me feeling empty. But if you’ve analyzed me this much, Have you thought that I do talk a lot here, not to make up stories, but instead to share happy little moments of my life because they make my life more colorful? So, I pay attention to the good feelings I get throughout the day and write about them here, I also feel a bit more stressed about bad things in life and write them here too… So, how is that making up a story…

I cherish when in real life, people tell me good things, I feel happy for that and I feel surprised by that sometimes, for 6 months after break up, I was wearing dark glasses outside, because I didn’t want people to see my eyes.

As for the uber driver, I haven’t given him my number.

He asked for my Wechat after that, which is a platform of social media in China.

I allowed him to add me there.

He has been in touch with me along with the customer service.

He is the one that told the Driver’s Support Service about the fact that he asked my personal information. Not me. Obviously, he’s a new driver.

I have never said anything. I have done nothing but trying to help him. Because I felt guilty someone might have lost a job because of flirting with me.

There is a good chance he asked other women passengers for their number and one of them turned into a nasty B, that got him to lose his job.
