Boyfriend lied to me…?

GUYS. I need some clarification.

So my boyfriend of 5yrs has been lying to me about checking out girls on tiktok and other media platforms (when I mean checking girls out I mean continuously scrolling through whatever they have on their page) and I caught him watching corn twice. Now I don’t have an issue with him doing that sorta stuff but he told me doesn’t watch it anymore. Seeing all this I’ve noticed that he has a type he likes to look at, which im definitely not like those girls. I guess I’m a little insecure but also feel like I’m not giving him full satisfaction as he would if he just watch stuff.

Anyways. I asked why he lies to me about these things and all he said was “it’s easier that way”

I have no idea what to do, I’ve sorted just smiled and we moved on but it’s still sorta bothering me that he hid this stuff for a while, and there could be more.

I’m honestly stuck any advice I’ll take or opinions on what to do or even if I should just leave it as is

Ay yo that's not cool that your boyfriend been lying to you like that. Checking out other girls online behind your back is lame, and lying about it is just disrespectful.

Hiding stuff and saying "it's easier that way" is total BS. He's just trying to cover his tracks so he doesn't get in trouble. But lying and keeping secrets is never ok in a relationship, especially after 5 years.

You got every right to feel insecure now since you found out his "type" is different than you. No girl wants to feel like she's not satisfying her man. And there's probably more he's hiding if he's been lying for so long.

I wouldn't just smile and drop it if I was you. You need to have a serious talk with him and lay it all out - the lying, hiding stuff, all of it. Tell him how it makes you feel disrespected and like he's not being faithful emotionally. See what he has to say for himself.

If he's not willing to be honest from now on and work on gaining your trust back, then you gotta ask yourself if you really wanna be with someone who will lie and go behind your back. You deserve way better than that after 5 years! Don't settle. Make sure he knows.

the lying part is the real issue.
That is just wrong and sets a bad precidence for the future.
It comes down to trust, so now because he is/has been lying to you about that, what else has he been lying to you about?
Or possibly in the future because inside he might be thinking ok, I got away with this and she actually believed me so why not take things a step further and meet some of these girls, or whatever the next thing might be.
The biggest part of any relationship is trust, without that, you do not have much, and when that trust has been violated, it is very hard to earn it back.
% years is a long time together to toss it away, but it is up to you what kind of behavior you will tolerate and what you will not put up with.
No the little white lies lie I like your new hair cut, no those jeans don't make your butt look bigger, or no those shoes don't make you look like a dork at all are ok, but no I am not interested in your sister and you find out from her that he has been trying to move in on her is something way different.

Stop making it an issue if he looks at porn and you've said it's not a big deal then stop making it one Listen men will always want what they don't have doesn't mean they'd act on it I mean my husband use to watch porn like a horn dog and I'd let him and never say much because I honestly felt he was a bit embarrassed so I just didn't bring it up now he barely looks at the stuff and as far as looking like a porn star no one really wants there wife or girlfriend to look like that outside the bedroom perhaps The biggest turn off to men isn't your looks it's your insecurities so stop comparing yourself to fake people and boost your self confidence maybe take a pole class there tons of fun hard but fun do something that makes you feel sexy in your own way it will be empowering and obviously he picked you to date so he found something attractive about you

That he looks at women who look different than you is really irrelevant and doesn't mean he isn't attracted to you. Unless you have reason to believe he's cheating, I'd leave this alone and not say any more about it.

In my current Experience, this is how I found out my husband was/is cheating on me. I let it go and kept gathering evidence. Honestly long story short, decide if you really want to continue this relationship or not. What your limits are if you do want to stay. If the relationship will honestly make you happy, or if you'll just be feeling g bad about yourself the whole time.
