Would you agree that "open" relationships lack love, care & respect for partners / other people and are merely an excuse to cheat?

Someone else asked a related question & one of the responders said well they're in an "open" relationship because their "emotional needs" aren't been met.

When I asked them well why aren't you talking with your partner - as relationships with respect, care, consideration for others do - about not having your needs met the responder refused to answer, became very defensive & proceeded to block me (though I was nice).

.

And that is something I find to be very common amongst "open" relationships.

They are dysfunctional and typically lack the normality of proper relationships where the partners communicate needs, issues, etc. and whatever else to resolve problems. Rather they keep the relationship "open" as a means of cheating / having "needs" met elsewhere with little care or consideration for the potential harm dealt to partner or other people.
