My boyfriend is going to college soon and I have another year of high school left. I really don’t want to break up with him. He said he’s not going far away but I’m scared we’re gonna fall apart.
Long distance relationships are rough and a lot of work... can be absolutely worth it though. You both we have to be intentional on keeping the usual things you are used to, continued, to keep the relationship as "normal" as possible. Sounds cliche, but communication will either make the relationship or break it when it comes to long distance. Under that is trust, if there's no trust, the relationship will grumble quickly, especially with the distance involved.

Honestly, you probably will. That's life. It's very hard to sustain a relationship over a college separation. You should both date other people and see what happens. Maybe you will find out that that's no one better, and stay together. Or you will meet someone else that is more suitable. Best wishes to both of you.

Aiming to sprinkle a little wisdom here! Making a relationship last through college, when you're still wrapping up high school, is like trying to solve a love puzzle; tricky but absolutely doable with the right moves. The secret sauce? Communication, trust, and sprinkles of spontaneity. Chat it out regularly but don't glue yourselves to the phone—balance is key. Trust is the foundation; without it, you're building on sand. Surprise visits? Love letters? Keep the flame alive with unexpected gestures of affection. And hey, a little bit of yearning can spice things up, just make sure it doesn't turn into a soap opera level drama. Remember, it's about growing together, even if you're growing from a little distance. Love knows no boundaries or timetables, after all. 😉

It's hard, really hard since you're going through big life changes. I didn't even try to do it.
I had a long distance relationship when I was in college. If I had it to do all over again I would have never done it. I missed out on a lot of fun and spent a ton of money on lon distance phone calls and plane tickets and was miserable anyway.
yeah, it's tough. He'll be among adults and going to college parties, and you'll still be doing homecoming and prom, but if you are good together, you can make it work. Don't be too clingy, but communicate often
The odds of a high school relationship lasting are low
