Some groups of people seem to think particular skin tone. Is the reason for deaths caused by police. Now most of the people that find themselves in that position where they are confronted by the police are usually not jaywalkers I'm just saying there's a reason why they have dealings with people. the police I mean, because usually somebody has done something that is against the law. In 96% of these cases I would guess but I still don't understand the answer to your question myself.
Because they think you don’t care about the seriousness that black lives face in proportion to other lives when it comes to the justice system specifically the law enforcement realm of the justice system.
Because they are always looking for someone or something to blame for their own laziness and incompetence rather than taking personal responsibility for their lives. Leftist culture will never tolerate differing oppinions or values. Rather than improve their argument, they are compelled to destroy or discredit their opponents by any means necessary. "Facts don't care about your feelings..."
The main issue? I have faced severe racism when I was white, does that mean I should have my problems belittled/discredited due to the colour of my skin? No, because that is not progressive in any way.
@Walrus_au That's the problem. We shouldn't question people on their experiences just because of their skin. Would you question black people on their experience of racism?
If you'd truly like to know, it was the greater Vancouver area.
@SwordShield You would leave people who cry racism or similar when they start to see others gaining equality with them have equal claims to those who have a lifetime history of oppression or abuse due to their race or other basic features (gender etc)
Ohhh I have experienced anti-white racism because now I have to compete for jobs with black people - is not racism Nor is claims of racism because someone stops you from keeping black folks out of the leadership of your church for example. Yet there are plenty who will cry racism for those issues.
The idea of leaving claims unquestioned is foolish. Questioning these claims does not require disrespecting the person or discarding their experience, what is in question is if that experience was actually racism or some other kind of bigotry or not.
So in the spirit of questionioning - you faced racism WHEN you were white? At what point were you white vs not white?
Ohhh and for the record, I absolutely do not subscribe to the idea that racism can only go in one direction. There is no such thing as 'reverse racism' the only reverse of racism would be radical racial inclusion.
@Walrus_au I see your point, and I agree. If there is no double standard, I can agree,
It happened during my childhood. I'd rather not go into it very much into it, but when I was younger, I was both shunned and bullied due to my skin. It's left a deep impact on me and that's why I'm so passionate on this subject.
I must say, you must be the most reasonable person I've seen on this site.
@SwordShield Well, I'd have to say that I too would be vehemently against people being shunned and bullied, whether it is for the colour of their skin or any other reason.
lol Thanks, not really a high bar to slither over most likely ;)
Sorry to hear you had a pack of asshats around you as a kid. Not cool for anyone.
Because its a protest to their protest. We all know that everyone's lives matter but people with coloured skin are judged more and treated worse then white people on a daily basis. * I hope this didn't come off as rude * I didn't know how to word it proper *
you said it perfect. But all the blame isn't on cops or white blacks nee to own it also. 75% of black children born out of wedlock 1.7 million doesn't have a father at home. Blacks kill black by the 1000's every year but we see no BLM protest Bills being drafted by black leaders in the house or senate mayor's or gov's. I've seen more black racist in my life then white one's i've seen blacks treat other light skin black different. There is a lot to fix. all people are racist it's called unknown bias.
Because it's a way of deflecting the fact of police prejudice toward minorities. Black Lives Matter doesn't mean that all lives don't matter equally.

they just want another excuse to burn down their neighbor's business and steal their tv so they pretend to be outraged. They keep saying "of course all lives matter", but they sure as hell don't act like it the way they're killing police atm, or random people on the damn street. It's not one race or group under attack here, so it's stupid to ONLY focus on one group.
Because that's what we're focusing on right now. The police didn't say all lives matter did they? Our goal right now is to end racism so we're saying black lives matter too.
In the words of Jordan Peterson: because they see the world as a gigantic battlefield of oppressed groups of people fighting to prove that they are more oppressed than others to claim more money and special treatment.

How do all lives matter, if we still have to convince people that black lives matter?
What I don't understand is those BLM activists preach this, yet burn down buildings, stores, and ruin lives of all people of all races, then they get heated when someone says All Lives Matter. why would you go burn down buildings? and ruin others peoples lives
I’ve noticed from a lot of videos that there are many white people trashing stores etc. doing it solely for the purpose of wreaking havoc and vandalizing. Others do it to try and incite change. They understandably feel as though peaceful protesting is simply not enough. Though I’m not an advocate for violence, I understand this when people are getting maced and injured for simply protesting on the streets.
This is a good question and an important point you make. It's not a zero-sum game where in order to gain in one area, something must be taken from another area. Both can exist in cooperation and alignment with each other without taking away something from either.
@Gwxn_xy "I think they're just trying to get revenge." Yes, however true justice is about balance, whereas revenge is about making yourself feel better. There is a proverb that says "Revenge is a dish best served cold", meaning it's better to deliver retribution for an injustice after time has passed and things have cooled down and it can be done dispassionately. But let's not forget the flipside - "If you want revenge, then dig two graves", one for the bad guy and one for a part of yourself as well.
Because that’s not the point. All forests matter but if one is on fire and the rest are safe doesn’t it make sense to send the fire department to the forest on fire? Doesn’t that one matter more right now?
In terms of police brutality your failing to understand that all races are more or less in an equal position. Also in regards to the forest even if one is immediately threatened, shouldn’t you still protect and value the others? I’m sick of BLM protesters harrasing me as an innocent white passerby every time I’m not holding a sign for their egos.
Indeed. Jack makes the statement all of us want to hear. I would instead propose a united action against racism, a united movement of all races. We want black people's problems to be heard, but we want every other race's problems heard to create an equal society.
BLM activists preach "black lives matter", yet burn down buildings, stores, and ruin lives of all people of all races, then they get heated when someone says All Lives Matter. why would you go burn down buildings? and ruin others peoples lives. and don't say it wasn't them involved, they were and are. They're backup support is a literal Racist Group known as the Black Panthers, i can give you some of their quotes if you'd like? or should we look at how Pro BLM "activists" attack white people for being white, they try to shame white people, they try to normalize it...
@SwordShield when peaceful protest have done nothing except forget peaceful protesters attacked for no damn reason I think rioting is more than Justified
Rioting is radical. This situation is highly comparable to how Hitler rose to power. He simply used the hate in the German people, as the radicals are doing with BLM, to gain influence.
Peaceful protesting ended the Vietnam war, peaceful protesting gained suffrage, peaceful protesting tore the Iron Curtain down.
Many things can be achieved. Don't let radicals convince you that violence is the only way, because violence is nothing but a path of pain and regret. You might achieve your goal with violence, but you would have become the very thing you were fighting for, making all of that loss for naught.
Yes, but did the American Revolutionary war come without great cost? No! 25,000 people were dead, civilians were starving due to American soldiers taking their food to live, and the newly founded USA was in an economical crisis!
Also, regular American people burned some British sympathizers alive in tar. Many atrocities were committed on both sides... Do not remain naïve to the cost of violence and war.
You notice that all of those had casualties, yes? Why do you not care for the lives of the people? This is why I have always insisted a non-violent solution when there is one available! Why resort to violence so hastily for peace?
Peaceful protests but also other things such as inquiring to the UN and the government are needed. Would you like to know why there hasn't been such a thing yet? They do not take you or the organization seriously because you have acted radically time and time again. Even BLM has exhibited toxic and radical behavior on their website.
Because they so passionately want you to coddle black people that anything less than full, specific, unconditional, copious, blind support is firmly unacceptable and traumatizing, thus inducing strong emotional responses.
The blacks do. I had to get rid of a hater on Facebook she was way out of line about white people Saying All Blacks should go out and buy handguns and she was saying F to America in a protest video

@Walrus_au Explained it perfectly
Thanks, but I can't take credit, I heard it on one of the podcasts I listen to.
The main issue? I have faced severe racism when I was white, does that mean I should have my problems belittled/discredited due to the colour of my skin? No, because that is not progressive in any way.
@SwordShield where are you that you experienced this? And would anyone else agree with your defining the experience racism?
@Walrus_au That's the problem. We shouldn't question people on their experiences just because of their skin. Would you question black people on their experience of racism?
If you'd truly like to know, it was the greater Vancouver area.
For the second question, most likely yes.

@Walrus_au Yeah man, thanks. You seem solid.
@SwordShield LMAO Solid, isn't that what my doc calls me before telling me to get in shape? What IS wrong with round anyway? it's a shape!
Because its a protest to their protest. We all know that everyone's lives matter but people with coloured skin are judged more and treated worse then white people on a daily basis.

Because “All Lives Matter” was initially made to belittle and mock the humanitarian cause of “Black Lives Matter”.
Because that's what we're focusing on right now. The police didn't say all lives matter did they? Our goal right now is to end racism so we're saying black lives matter too.
Holy shit. I've been reading some opinions and most people here are HELLA racist
Including me apparantly.
@Jack9949 can't we just agree that black lives matter too
Not until white lives do. They never mention us.
@Jack9949 the movement is saying black lives matter too.
They never talk about whites killed by police.
@Jack9949 can you just stop being racist and just be happy that we're trying to create equality between raced
Once they actually start mentioning us I will
When you ignore the deaths of white people, that says something about how much you really value them
@Jack9949 Honestly who even care's about anything anymore
I agree with the message, but I will not support such a movement
Cos it goes against their agenda as they are being manipulated
In the words of Jordan Peterson: because they see the world as a gigantic battlefield of oppressed groups of people fighting to prove that they are more oppressed than others to claim more money and special treatment.

They talk about equality... until, it applies to them !!!
Because all lives can matter when black lives matter
Well if you're using it to somehow make BLM less valid, then you clearly don't believe that all lives matter
The movement’s simply a farce. I agree with the message itself though. Just as I support the message of “White Lives Matter” but not its movement.
BLM Activists and their Movement is racist, they are not peaceful they are terrorists. End of story
You're wrong but ok.
I'm not but ok...
BLM activists preach "black lives matter", yet burn down buildings, stores, and ruin lives of all people of all races, then they get heated when someone says All Lives Matter. why would you go burn down buildings? and ruin others peoples lives. and don't say it wasn't them involved, they were and are. Bang, we are simply wanting equality between the races. We do not want a group biased towards the black community to pave the future for us.
Most of america is built on successful riots
@bang678 So do you advocate violence and chaos?
@Jack9949 i advocate rioting against a government that clearly has issues with racism and excessive force
Bang, wouldn't it be hypocritical to preach peace yet use force? At that point, you're no better than the government you fight.
@SwordShield when peaceful protest have done nothing except forget peaceful protesters attacked for no damn reason I think rioting is more than Justified
@bang678 Wow. You need help. Like rioting doesn’t do anything except distract from the cause because it turns attention to a separate issue.
Rioting is radical. This situation is highly comparable to how Hitler rose to power. He simply used the hate in the German people, as the radicals are doing with BLM, to gain influence.

@Jack9949 Come now, let us not insult her. That will not convince her. We must stay calm.
@SwordShield right because the boston tea party, shays rebellion and the Haymarket affairs totally avhieved nothing in American history
or the abolition riots, or the Chicago beer riots, or the Cincinnati riots, or bloody Sunday... they totally got nothing done.
Yes, but did the American Revolutionary war come without great cost? No! 25,000 people were dead, civilians were starving due to American soldiers taking their food to live, and the newly founded USA was in an economical crisis!

Would you like to know why there hasn't been such a thing yet? They do not take you or the organization seriously because you have acted radically time and time again. Even BLM has exhibited toxic and radical behavior on their website.
And what is this about defunding police? Would that not put the innocent in jeopardy? Why not improve the recruiting standards? Do tell me.
@SwordShield its a simple expression used to grab attention. They dont mean get rid of police force. They mean reevaluate how funds are being used.
Then why are they saying it? It just seems odd to me.
@SwordShield its like when you see a wikd headline in a news paper. It pulls you in and you read the article.
Mmm, I see.
Because they so passionately want you to coddle black people that anything less than full, specific, unconditional, copious, blind support is firmly unacceptable and traumatizing, thus inducing strong emotional responses.
