In Athletics (Track and Field) competitions, males usually have full tops and long shorts, while females wear the equivalent of a sports bra and panties, sometimes boy shorts.
Why do you think track suits worn by males and females are so different in competitions? Is it for comfort, speed, for show? Or maybe for some other reason?
Did you know that female sports uniforms are almost exclusively chosen by a panel made up of retired female athletes or coaches? It's not men picking these uniforms, it's women.

Well most of the time in my opinion women don't really get a choice. They are stuffed into skimpy outfits to appease men.
If you have seen A League of their own. The women's uniforms were a joke but were told if you can't play in this then you can't play for the league.

Less and more fit is better, for sure
women have no problem wearing less and wearing more of a tight fit
might be the men who would not want to wear short shorts and bras as their choice
i believe mainly for show but also the fastest men ran faster than fastest lady so less fabric air resistance but men added burden. more fabric and wind resistance
Men could also wear those clothes if they wanted to, it is just that out of personal taste they prefer not to, I happened to see some men competing with women's similar clothes.
Mostly because most female runners are hot.
To attract more viewership and generate more revenue.
It's because nobody wants to see a man's belly and his junk in a speedo. But a woman in those bikini shorts is hot.
Maybe men don’t like to watch women’s sports, so the women dress sexy to please their audience? I wonder if trans guys wear a bra and panties when they’re trying to compete in women’s sports?
