I chose Vegas (I’ll either come back richer or poorer ( or married🤣))

I spent the first 44 years of my life in the Los Angeles area, so I've been to Vegas several times. I saw it change over the years.
I'm not a gambler, so that whole scene doesn't attract me. Although, back when there were real silver dollars in the slot machines, it was way more fun.
Vegas has some good shows and attractions.
The overall vibe doesn't excite me anymore. But some people love it and it would be very exciting for a first timer.
And it's relatively compact compared to NYC, so you can see and do a lot more with less time and effort.
I've never been to NYC. It has some museums, famous places, and historical attractions that I wouldn't mind seeing. But, for many reasons, I find the culture repellent. And, on top of that, I've heard that the place has really gone down hill like San Francisco and other Democrat-run cities.
Too bad you didn't keep all those silver dollars.
Neither of those would be a top pick for me - I like to vacation in nature if I'm going to travel, but between the two, I would pick Vegas. I don't gamble, but Vegas at least has good live music entertainment and good food, so that's what I would spend most of my time doing.
That’s the plan
Neither. Would not be caught dead in either. Lost Wages is good for 3 things. Losing money, losing more money, and losing even more money. It's hot, humid, and the entertainment there is so-so. The only good thing is free buffets, but even that has started to disappear. It's a place for quick marriages and divorces. To live in NYC is also expensive. It is crowded with traffic and people. No thanks. :)
@yesterdayschild I listen to people talk about going to casinos and I have to shake my head. How is it fun to lose money? It is more fun to save money. I watched a guy sit in his truck and scratch off about 20 lottery tickets. Then he tossed them out the widow and drove away all pissed off. I don. t get it.
@exitseven Nor do I get it. But plenty of people are addicted to gambling.
debt and more debt for the poor folks!
I went to Vegas as a kid (was about 12) with my family absolutely horrible vacation for kids and never wanna go there ever again.. New York is way better. I've been in New York many times and my family know some people there. New York is better a bit away from the main city if you'd ask me. So I'd pick New York but there are other places I rather visit
Thank you for MHO!

I lived in. NYC my whole life. I understand why they made a shirt I ❤️ NY. It is never ending city. You can spent as much as you want and as little as you want. You have to world there. So I am bias here…I love the city. I love the culture, the people, the authenticity of the food we can get without having to travel to those countries.
for the longest time, I wanted to visit Vagas.. I changed my mind after traveling to Europe for two summers…Vagas just doesn’t impress me since I am not into gambling…I have been to casinos and fake cities…Vagas gives me the impression that it’s just another area with lights, tall buildings to walk around…done that in other areas. Imitation food/Resturants from other countries…
you mentioned Bahamas…would have been a much better option. Hopefully next time since you have decided to do Vagas.
Bahamas we went 3 times…the ocean, beaches, leisurely life style is great for vacations.
enjoy your trip.
Been to both. Honestly wasn't blown away by new york. To be fair was in a bad head space having just broken up, and out there with friends. But it just felt like another city, not too different from London.
I loved Vegas, but then I am a gambler who likes a drink. I'd happily go back to Vegas, not fussed bout New York
Yeah it’ll be my first time in Vegas…And it’ll be my birthday 🥳
Enjoy. Don't forget to go to top of stratosphere tower and go on rides, good fun.
Whatever you do, don't put it all on red, life isn't like the movies, you'll come home poor
Vegas because I hate big cities and stay as far from NYC as I can. I don't like Vegas either, but there are a lot of nice areas surrounding it. If I went to Vegas I might spend half a day gambling, maybe a full day if I'm doing well. Then off to the desert, probably to the east.
I've been to Vegas many times but not all that interested in New York, either.
If I could choose my own - I'd pick Vermont or Connecticut in the fall only, tho.
I'd also possibly pick New Orleans - the French Quarter. 🙂
My youngest sibling loves New Orleans.. I’ve never been tho. Never been to Vegas either, next week will be first time
New York is a real place, not full of fake statues and casinos that only take your money, NYC has plays and musicals to see, great museums, beautiful old architecture and modern skyscrapers, as well as Central Park. It's a big, big city with a million places to see and loads to do that's as educational as it is fun. Enjoyed staying and exploring there.
That is a tough one. I like both places but if I had to pick one, New York city. I love Broadway shows. It also has great food and museums.
Although Vegas also has a lot of great shows. The charm of Vegas is that it is unapologetically tacky and gaudy! :-)
😂 lol
Tacky and gaudy !!! Quite apt description of Vegas.
I live in the New York City area, and actually work in the city. So I'd pick Las Vegas to visit. However I'd probably only go once just to see what it's like, since I don't gamble and casinos don't do anything for me.
Yeah it’ll be my first time and there’s other things to do than gamble… won’t be doing much of that myself…

i have been to new york, so vegas
😂😂
Well you know what they say in Vegas what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and you don't want to come today or tomorrow because it's been 117° there
Going next week
Ehh, it depends on what you want. Broadway in NY is freakin awesome. Gigantic shows in Vegas are also awesome.
As a whole, I enjoyed Vegas more than NY or LA, tbh. And I didn’t even go to strip clubs or gamble that much. It’s not a week long vacay…lol unless you’re a gambling addict.
But there’s some cool things within driving distance of Vegas too. Like Hoover dam, (not Death Valley) but where they shot a lot of old westerns…. with the plateaus…forgot the name. Anyway….
I'd go to New York because that's where Broadway is and seeing a show live on Broadway is on my bucket list
Hope you get there 🙏
Neither. For me Vacations require warm oceans ☺️☺️
I really wanted to go to Hawaii or the Bahamas… maybe next time
Yes it was… going next week
@NYCQuestions1976
really? I’ve never been in warm water in NY. Maybe I didn’t go to the ocean in the summer 😂 or maybe you mean lakes 😊
Go to Bahamas. You will enjoy it more than NY or LV. Go swim with the dolphins.
@midnightmoon05 There are dolphins and whales off the coast here also.
@NYCQuestions1976 yes. My husband kept wanting to take a boat out to see whales off of sheepshead bay. We’ll have to try to plan that out.
In terms of dolphins…only seen it in Coney Island aquarium 😜.
The first time we went to the Bahamas, we swam with the dolphins…the trainer asked if I was pregnant…apparently, the dolphin heard 2 heart beats!
Few years back we went swim with the dolphins again…they pushed us up into the air like Superman flying up from the water!! It was so amazing. I would do it again. But I don’t think NY has those activities.
@midnightmoon05 You can go in the subway tunnels and get pushed into the air... just before you land on the tracks. 😉👍😂
Ah we live in such a marvelous and magical place. lol
@NYCQuestions1976 sounds like another way to have fun in NYC! 😂👍
@midnightmoon05 The city so nice, they named it twice! lol
of the two i chose nyc. not a big fan of vegas. anything you can do there you can do most places without all the glitz, noise, and inflated prices.
love nyc architecture, food, parks, and general vibe... in doses
If money wasn't an option 100% Vegas. I went a while back for 5 days with my friends.. we barely made it back.. had an ambulance waiting for us when we got off the plane ( long story).
Yikes
We’re getting there on a Thursday and leaving Sunday
At a hotel on the strip… And yeah party, we going for my birthday 🥳 🎉
Thanks..
I dont gamble and I am too cheap to pay for prosititution. Buffet are also a no because acid reflux.
There was so much more to do than just gamble. We went to the conservatory at the Bellagio (free) saw the Beatles Love show (Amazing amazing show) spent hours at the beautiful pool at our hotel, did the Fremont street experience. They had 3 stages live music (free) there’s a screened light show. We also did the wax museum. I had a great time. I’d go again
To be honest I would prefer beaches and natural landmarks venice rowing a boat with my future girlfriend.
New York is all about food, which gets old. I have been to new york.
--I would want to go to comicon
--Eat some shawrmas talk to poeple make some friends rock climbing
make out with such and such friend
---NYC is nice to bike around so much history (idrc for but still)
it has tendancy to make things more romantic and significant.
---NYC has good tasting water (Las Vegas struggles to even have water)
No it wasn’t the Beatles…
What is The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil about?
The Beatles LOVE pays tribute to the band's artistic achievements, using real and fictional characters to explore the song's themes. The Beatles LOVE features several scenes inspired by the poetry of the song's lyrics with 60 performers who excel in aerial performances, extreme sports, and urban and freestyle dance.
Experience The Beatles LOVE today! The Beatles LOVE is one of our six incredible shows playing in Las Vegas.
Well I’m already in New York and Vegas is mostly for gambling so probably neither, usually go to Florida
Been there once (Florida) many years ago
I’ve probably been to Florida at least 30 times, I have family there, but I’ve also been to many of the theme parks through the years, Las Vegas I’ve been to twice it’s just a bigger Atlantic City. I’ve visited at least 26 states in the United States so far.
I’m jealous😔 lol I traveled more as a kid, this is only my second out of state trip as an adult. With my husband’s health, we didn’t get to take family trips. I tried taking my kids camping twice without him but the family members I went with (well one) made both horrible so both times we ended up leaving early. More excited about taking the first real trip with my daughter then where we going
Did you decide? Plenty to do in New York City and see, and if you like more suburban and farmland then the east end of Long Island is really nice
It was in the post.. we’re going to Vegas Thursday..
Oh ok , the shows are good and the food, try not to gamble too much. Try the Hoover Dam tour, it’s not far from there
Vegas 100% but I probably wouldn’t really gamble I just might like to go to some concerts or shows. I also they got nice buffets.
We really won’t be gambling much either
That’s smart going clubbing and having fun is better than going broke gambling.
I live in New York so I already know what's here. I've never been to Las Vegas so I'd like to see what it's like.
Me neither this will be my first time
If your luggage feels a little heavy don't worry about it, it's just me stowing away. Lol
😂😂 you might be a pretzel by time we get there but sure hop in 😁 my luggage has wheels 😂
Knowing my luck I'd get stuck in the suitcase and not be able to get out
😂😂 so you have my luck then lol
If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all
OMG don’t get me started🤦🏼♀️ since I left work Friday till today, I’ve had one snafu after another… So much for a relaxing vacation so far… So yeah with the bad luck I’ve been having so far, doubt I’ll do much gambling in Vegas
Maybe your luck will change. I hope I didn't ginx you
Oh… so everything happening is YOUR fault 🤔🤣😂
I sure hope not. I'd feel really bad if it was my fault. I hope it wasn't serious
I say New York. I have been there before and it was fun. I would see a Broadway play, a Rangers game and be part of the live audience of the Gutfeld show.
I'd go to NV, but probably do sightseeing, the dam, the lake, etc, not the casinos.
Yeah we gonna do more sight seeing then gambling
Went to Las Vegas and came back married so I will have to choose New York as I have never been there.
Did you really? To someone you knew? Or met there?
I've already been to Vegas, so I pick New York. I liked Vegas and would go again, but I've never been to New York before.
Neither place tbh. Id rather go on vacation to the wisconsin dells, or somewhere like Ireland
I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland too.. maybe some day
I've been to New York many times, I worked there for a couple years.
Never been to Vegas, that would be my choice.
Vegas! At least I could win some money! New York's a fucking shithole!! You couldn't PAY ME to go there!!
If I HAD to choose one, it'd be Vegas, but I have no desire to visit either one.
Vegas is closer to the Grand Canyon. But I'd only go there (or to any other major city) for a transit stop-over.
I have been to LV in 2018. So NY please 😁.
There are far more points of interest for me in the Big Apple.
new york, it's much too hot in vegas and my teacher said it was only interested at night
New York is too big and crowded, but I've been to Vegas a few times, and I agree with your teacher. It was cool when I was a kid, but now I think it's a major tourist trap. I agree that it's only worth seeing at night. It's not that hot in winter, and you can easily day trip into the desert for some breathtaking landscapes. They also have a Mormon fort there
@KostasKouvalis I'm not a fan of desert to be honest, there's noting to see except sand, i rather go visit a castle or something like that
All big city are crowed even in France it's extremely crowed so
You haven't seen the deserts we have here :p
traveldigg.com/arches-national-park-utah-usa/
Neither, but since I don't have a death wish, Vegas.
New York for me to visit the subways and ground zero
wow two cities i both dislike lol id only choose vegas cuz it’s a quick flight for me and i have a buddy i could stay with there. aside from the food, NY is a hell hole.
I don't really have any ambition to visit either of those 2 cities. I dislike crowds.
I used to love going to NYC. But now I don’t want to be in any big city.
I've never been to New York I wouldn't mind stopping a couple days on my way to Europe. 😊
Neither. Been to both. Didn’t leave anything there that I need to go back and get!
If its within USA, NYC hands down as long as it is not winters.
If you live in the USA, just go international if you really want a nice vacation. All of USA is the same. You might find some pretty sights on the west coast but culturally and in terms of the feel, it is all the same.
Or you know what!! Go to the northern mountain areas of NY. North of Albany.
Go to the Adirondacks !!
Vegas is only fun on the strip. NY has endless places and possibilities for what a person can do, see, and eat.
Vegas, New York is absolutely disgusting and run down, even worse since Covid.
Yeah my husband’s grandma always said the same thing
@Brainsbeforebeauty I live in a state nearby New York, and have visited NY since 2020 and it’s a complete disaster. I’m so mad at how people in that state treat the earth.
NYC is stressful and the people don’t know how to act.
New York, New York... 🎶
Are you singing as you typed that 😅🤣
Yes 😂
lol I knew it 😁
Oh god. If someone had a gun to my head, I guess New York. I’d rather not go on vacation at all.
Vega$ by far. Rent a car. Plenty to see.
We staying on the strip and doing a day in downtown Vegas… transportation should be fine without renting a car
I would no more set foot in the US than I would Nazi Germany and for the same reason, it isn't safe.
Does New Vegas count? 👀
🤣🤣
Vegas. I deeply desire to visit the Vegas strip.
It’s not like it used to be but yeah always wanted to go and yeah our hotel is on the strip
i'll take Charleston, SC or Savannah, GA.
NY because I already live in the state.
I go to vegas but only because I live in new york
I knew you’d say that 😁
So when are we going?
I’m going next week😊
I'll meet you there
Sure lol
I would pick Vegas!
That’s what I picked… going next week for my birthday…
Well have a Happy Birthday!
Thanks 🤗
I'd go to Vegas.
Right!
Its have been my dream to be their its a lovely place.
Can't afford to spend any time in either.
neither of them I like trees
I'll take New York.
New York is a toilet
Neither.-
Europe. Any country.
I love New York!
