I chose Vegas (I’ll either come back richer or poorer ( or married🤣))
I spent the first 44 years of my life in the Los Angeles area, so I've been to Vegas several times. I saw it change over the years.
I'm not a gambler, so that whole scene doesn't attract me. Although, back when there were real silver dollars in the slot machines, it was way more fun.
Vegas has some good shows and attractions.
The overall vibe doesn't excite me anymore. But some people love it and it would be very exciting for a first timer.
And it's relatively compact compared to NYC, so you can see and do a lot more with less time and effort.
I've never been to NYC. It has some museums, famous places, and historical attractions that I wouldn't mind seeing. But, for many reasons, I find the culture repellent. And, on top of that, I've heard that the place has really gone down hill like San Francisco and other Democrat-run cities.

Neither of those would be a top pick for me - I like to vacation in nature if I'm going to travel, but between the two, I would pick Vegas. I don't gamble, but Vegas at least has good live music entertainment and good food, so that's what I would spend most of my time doing.
Neither. Would not be caught dead in either. Lost Wages is good for 3 things. Losing money, losing more money, and losing even more money. It's hot, humid, and the entertainment there is so-so. The only good thing is free buffets, but even that has started to disappear. It's a place for quick marriages and divorces. To live in NYC is also expensive. It is crowded with traffic and people. No thanks. :)
I went to Vegas as a kid (was about 12) with my family absolutely horrible vacation for kids and never wanna go there ever again.. New York is way better. I've been in New York many times and my family know some people there. New York is better a bit away from the main city if you'd ask me. So I'd pick New York but there are other places I rather visit

I lived in. NYC my whole life. I understand why they made a shirt I ❤️ NY. It is never ending city. You can spent as much as you want and as little as you want. You have to world there. So I am bias here…I love the city. I love the culture, the people, the authenticity of the food we can get without having to travel to those countries.
for the longest time, I wanted to visit Vagas.. I changed my mind after traveling to Europe for two summers…Vagas just doesn’t impress me since I am not into gambling…I have been to casinos and fake cities…Vagas gives me the impression that it’s just another area with lights, tall buildings to walk around…done that in other areas. Imitation food/Resturants from other countries…you mentioned Bahamas…would have been a much better option. Hopefully next time since you have decided to do Vagas.
Bahamas we went 3 times…the ocean, beaches, leisurely life style is great for vacations.
enjoy your trip.Been to both. Honestly wasn't blown away by new york. To be fair was in a bad head space having just broken up, and out there with friends. But it just felt like another city, not too different from London.
I loved Vegas, but then I am a gambler who likes a drink. I'd happily go back to Vegas, not fussed bout New YorkVegas because I hate big cities and stay as far from NYC as I can. I don't like Vegas either, but there are a lot of nice areas surrounding it. If I went to Vegas I might spend half a day gambling, maybe a full day if I'm doing well. Then off to the desert, probably to the east.
I've been to Vegas many times but not all that interested in New York, either.
If I could choose my own - I'd pick Vermont or Connecticut in the fall only, tho.
I'd also possibly pick New Orleans - the French Quarter. 🙂
New York is a real place, not full of fake statues and casinos that only take your money, NYC has plays and musicals to see, great museums, beautiful old architecture and modern skyscrapers, as well as Central Park. It's a big, big city with a million places to see and loads to do that's as educational as it is fun. Enjoyed staying and exploring there.
That is a tough one. I like both places but if I had to pick one, New York city. I love Broadway shows. It also has great food and museums.
Although Vegas also has a lot of great shows. The charm of Vegas is that it is unapologetically tacky and gaudy! :-)
I live in the New York City area, and actually work in the city. So I'd pick Las Vegas to visit. However I'd probably only go once just to see what it's like, since I don't gamble and casinos don't do anything for me.
i have been to new york, so vegas
Well you know what they say in Vegas what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and you don't want to come today or tomorrow because it's been 117° there
Ehh, it depends on what you want. Broadway in NY is freakin awesome. Gigantic shows in Vegas are also awesome.
As a whole, I enjoyed Vegas more than NY or LA, tbh. And I didn’t even go to strip clubs or gamble that much. It’s not a week long vacay…lol unless you’re a gambling addict.
But there’s some cool things within driving distance of Vegas too. Like Hoover dam, (not Death Valley) but where they shot a lot of old westerns…. with the plateaus…forgot the name. Anyway….I'd go to New York because that's where Broadway is and seeing a show live on Broadway is on my bucket list
Neither. For me Vacations require warm oceans ☺️☺️
of the two i chose nyc. not a big fan of vegas. anything you can do there you can do most places without all the glitz, noise, and inflated prices.
love nyc architecture, food, parks, and general vibe... in doses
If money wasn't an option 100% Vegas. I went a while back for 5 days with my friends.. we barely made it back.. had an ambulance waiting for us when we got off the plane ( long story).
I dont gamble and I am too cheap to pay for prosititution. Buffet are also a no because acid reflux.
Well I’m already in New York and Vegas is mostly for gambling so probably neither, usually go to Florida
Vegas 100% but I probably wouldn’t really gamble I just might like to go to some concerts or shows. I also they got nice buffets.
I live in New York so I already know what's here. I've never been to Las Vegas so I'd like to see what it's like.
I say New York. I have been there before and it was fun. I would see a Broadway play, a Rangers game and be part of the live audience of the Gutfeld show.
I'd go to NV, but probably do sightseeing, the dam, the lake, etc, not the casinos.
