When you first start training at higher intensities, you experience a degree or visible and noticeable muscle growth. But it doesn't last too long and you eventually hit a plateau. Breaking through that plateau means switching to a program that is optimized for muscle mass gain and following an appropriate diet pattern as well. This usually means increasing calories. Your best bet is to stop trying to put together your own workout regimen and follow an established reputable one such as the free programs available on bodybuilding. com. And regardless of your goals or what you think your trouble spots are you need to be training your whole body in order to avoid creating muscle imbalances that can cause joint and back problems later on in life.
To answer the specific question people looking to add size or shape typically only work that muscle group twice a week following a hypertrophy program. This means working with a weight heavy enough to hit failure in a range of 8 to 12 reps. Muscles grow whole resting after the workout. The harder you push during your workouts and the more rest and calories you give them afterwards while they repair, the more muscle you gain. Training them every day or even every other day won't accomplish much if visible gains are your goal and may even set you back.

Most people recommend not doing a muscle every day because it needs to heal. If you break down a muscle group but never let it heal it "grow." The other thing is that we don't know how deep you're squatting. Most people I see in the gym do these 1/4 depth squats which don't really engage the glutes. You want to squat deep down. If someone makes that dumb claim that they're "bad for the knees" ignore them.
If bodyweight squats don't do it for b you. Add weight. You've l ikely built up strength. You can use dumbell squats (aka: goblet) or use barbell squats even.
Yes, yes it is. YOu're loseing fat and building muscle - which will make your butt form smaller.

It could be that the muscles having gotten conditioned to the same exercises... try changing up the exercises you are doing to keep your body guessing...
It got lot to do with eating below required than squatting lol. Eat more and buff up and eat less and tone down, Mass up or mass down. But did she meant like 40-50 reps? Or she squat 40-50 lbs?
Okay, we'll see.
