A "dream" partner wouldn't ask you to do something you didn't believe in. There is ethical farming. Animals raised well and good, and slaughtered with care. This is what "kosher," a practice several thousands of years old, is about. And hunters and fishers, such as Native Americans, have long respected the lives of animals who give up their meat and hides to keep tribal peoples alive. This is why there are cave paintings: odes to the lives of animals utilized by these peoples.
Today, most hunters belong to conservation groups to keep wild areas wild and maintain habitat for the animals they pay to collect a few times a year. I'm one of them. Wild meat is a rare gift, and I pay state and federal wildlife agencies to hunt and feed my family.
Vegetarianism is a first-world choice. Unless you have the money and access to protein substitutes available today, and the time to plan such diets, they are complicated and difficult.
I don't believe a non-vegetarian and complete vegetarian would be partners because of the very wide ethical and practical differences between them unless both are tolerant people.

I won’t change for anyone. I wouldn’t expect them to change for me either.
Get the fuck out of here. I have NO time for vegetarians who try to push that shit on me. That is 100% at odds with "dream partner."
NO ONE - ANYWHERE, for ANY reason - tells me what to eat and not eat. That's MY job.
I literally didn't go to events with a branch of my extended family for 7 years because they tried to do so. They didn't think I was serious - especially my entitled, busy-body aunt.
I've dated a vegetarian, and I had no problem finding her good foods to eat - but she knew better than to try to push that shit on to me. I told her from the start that the very first time she even made a suggestion, it was over, and she never did.
This is an impossible scenario. My dream partner would never be so controlling or obnoxious as to demand I eat the way SHE finds ethical. I get to make my own decisions about that. That's some abusive bullshit right there. 🙂

I'd try to reach a compromise. Sometimes I will eat her vegetarian food, and sometimes I'll eat meat. After all, humans are omnivores.
I would understand her feelings about farm animal mistreatment, but aren't plants jammed into a greenhouse or field, and randomly cut down, mistreated too?

MY dream partner will offer me fried chicken 2 or 3 nights per week, barbecue 2 or 3 nights per week, and a nice medium-rare NY Strip the other nights. Changing would mean going to extra-crispy instead of regular.
I love vegetarian meals, but I’m not giving up meat for anyone
Nope, I would not. I eat how I eat and you can eat how you eat. Compromise
No
Being a vegan is a whole cult in itself.
I have seen mothers and idiots fathers following the dumb mother idea to raise kids without milk or meat and poor babies look so malnourish. So this might be bad for your family too. Kids have the right to chose you don’t chose for them so they deserve jail for this.
If they want you to become vegan or whatever it’s a a form of mind controlling.
Beside that their life is focused so much into food because it means they are mentally unstable and undiagnosed obviously. They will spend their life telling others how they are vegan like protesting. Since biologically we have to eat milk butter meat etc vegans will dream and crave it every day then it means I have to deal with with fake meat , fake cheese , fake yogurt , fake fish , fake crabs , fake eggs made in laboratory with soy contents and tofu.
Let alone their conversations and ethics about saving the animals. You know how that chicken is separated from her kids and husband. They don’t eat their own shit anymore, breath a fresh air or eat grain anymore. That poor chicken life was taken away tragically she missed so much from her life…—Said a vegan while hitting a mosquito trying to bite her arm.I don't think I would be willing to do that. I think it's unrealistic. I think I could reduce the number of animal products I consume, but I wouldn't stop completely - I like shrimp too much lol
Also my dad is the owner and operator of a rendering plant. The plant has been in our family for generations. He picks up dead cows and horses and processes them into pet food. He used to go to livestock sales and slaughter the cattle himself back when the plant was rated for human consumption but he switched to deadstock in 2008.
My point being that I already know what the meat industry is like and my family eats meat.
My ideal partner would respect my chosen diet just like I would respect theirs.
No, balanced diet is needed without meat and diary products I thinks it's very unhealthy to be underweight.
I except my partner to be Muslim or them to offer converting for me when they confessed and I wouldn't take it otherwise but I can't stand something like diet being cornered into one's partner because I wouldn't do this in a much important matter as religion.
Even if he's prince charming, I'm not giving up one of my life enjoyment for him, eating with him vegetables sometimes when I detest? I'll give it a try occasionally. Actually being vegetarian? Nah.They clearly wouldn’t be my dream partner if they gave an ultimatum and expectation like that. We wouldn’t be compatible. Now if he respected my dietary choices and I respected his it’s no issue but I wouldn’t expect him to change his diet for me so why should he expect me to change mine.
It depends, my “dream partner” doesn’t necessarily have to be that good looking. Especially since looks fade, but a “life partner” is for LIFE! However, if he expected me to give up meat, he better be like Chris Pine / Chris Hemsworth good looking!
Hell no. My dream partner would never be a vegetarian, anyway. And if someone asks you to make such a drastic change in your life, they aren't a dream partner for you, anyway. I wouldn't even mind being "mostly vegetarian," but I'd legitimately die without protein. I need protein to live. And no, I'm not going to eat a bunch of f*cking nuts and cashews everyday just to get 1/5th of a burger's protein.
Accurate poll? Do vegetarians are probably voting yes 😂
I'm not even a big fan of meat and can go eithout eating it... and voted no... because an ideal partner wants me... not their idea of me... no problem if he asks me and reasons with me... sure he can tey to convinceme.. but there should not be an ultimatum.
I would never want to be with someone that expects me to change that radically, and yes, I find not eating meat radical for me haha - I'm fine with being with a vegetarian, I have friends who have all sorts of diet, and my family are vegetarian at times for religious reasons (mainly my parents) so I'm completely fine with it in other people, but I couldn't. Maybe a few days a week sure but not forever and I don't want someone that arrogant that looks down on people who eat meat
This got me by a slim margin because my dream girl would definitely be someone who stands by their beliefs/principles and I do agree that animals can be treated better in farms than they are currently. And my dream girl isn't delusional so I have to assume she'd talk me into it. She'd have to be OK with me getting sausage on a pizza here and there though lmao
I'm not sure why people get so defensive about their diet. LOL. I totally respect vegetarians, because that's their choice and that's the way the feel about the animal kingdom. I wouldn't eat meat in front of a vegetarian, just like I wouldn't smoke in front of a non-smoker. It's fucking rude.
lmao i'm vegetarian and my partner is a big meat eater. he has the right to eat whatever he wants just like i have the right to eat what i want.
in other words, i would never expect him to go vegetarian for me. he does actually enjoy some vegetarian meals.
PETA does not stand for anything other than People Eating Tasty Animals. The people who created PETA simply wanted to feast on what? The Libtarded victim group. What makes things so insane is that @normalice says I'm feasted upon via Victim Groups. It really doesn't work that way.
that would make such NOT "my dream partner" then so there is nothing to vote on here. this is like saying "you buy a carton of choc icecream but when you open it its strawberry and still trying to call it choc because that is what is written on the carton".
I might, if I could still survive and not die. I have dietary restrictions already, and I need to be able to get the essential nutrients to keep me alive.
If I did, though, I would probably be vegetarian, not vegan. I would just buy organic cheese and eggs.Lol I eat vegetarian food mostly but that's cause I got stomach issues and I can't eat red meat anymore I don't know what is the cause of that is and neither do these weird Dr's, become a Dr for the human body but nobody has answers for the stomach? Haha
But nah I wouldn't expect anyone to eat like me.
when planting a field of quinoa or wheat grass, you realize every mole, snake, mouse rabbit and squirrel that might eat that crop or dig it up has to be killed right? All of their nests and that space has to be "no longer available and all the birdas have to be denied access to that crop. How cute does the animal have to be before you feel bad about it dying to feed you?
