When it comes to most relationships today, who do you think is more likely to make the first move?

As in approach first whether it’d be online or in person? I honestly was always under the impression that men were more likely to make the first move, I think that was true in the past but think the times are somewhat evolving. Guys are probably still more likely to do it but with Bumble along with the fact that I’m hearing women today talking more about sending a dm to their current boyfriend/fiancé/husband just backs it up. I’m reserved & old fashioned so I’m not with the majority of women

Depends what you consider "the first move" to be. I put men. But that's because men almost always do the "approaching". But the "first move" is actually one signaling thier openess to be approached. And that is typically the woman. So if you look at it from that perspective. The first move is almost always initiated by the woman.

The problem is so few women today know what they want or how to communicate it. Leaving most guys guessing and guessing wrong. Couple that with the fact there is a significant women who do this simply for entertainment. And you end up with guys who just check out of the process altogether and say, "f*** it! If she's interested she can approach me".

I am very traditional, very old school. I have used online dating, including Bumble, and have no problem with a woman signalling her attention, but outside of Bumble, I never relied on the woman to make the first move.

If we're talking about a kiss, it's the woman. The woman knows what she wants, the man can only guess. If he guesses wrong, there is a legal penalty. Most men aren't gamblers. So in general they will wait for the woman to make the first move
