I've noticed most talk radio shows (except NPR) are very right leaning. Most of them get very argumentive and closed minded. I'm talking about Sean Hannity, Dave Ramsey, Coast to Coast Am kinda shows.
Im not responsible for what you listen to or your political concerns but id suggest POD if you're stuck with whats on your radio because you're specific about presenters & can't speak about these people or your area but if anything its easier to be narrow minded and concervative rather then openly suggestive to ideas and development that never take off to cause a dead end and short carrier which is more of the reason why broadcasters in your area have been selected for a reason, which is more then likely long lasting in order to generate an interest in investing in the stations for advertising, rather then having deadend show hosts whos ambitions are short lived or life long without fruition. Otherwise what the f are you talking about?

The short history is because back when Rush Limbaugh started his radio show, it was a wide open medium that nobody took seriously, and his success encouraged dozens of copycats mostly from the conservative and libertarian firlds to jump on. Liberals tried to get in on it too, but none of their shows took off, so they instead took over late night TV shows, which used to be comedic.
Now that podcasts and streaming services are prominent, and Rush is gone, I don't actually know anyone who still listens to radio. I assume it's kept alive by my dad's generation.
When you offend others, people talk about you and explore your channel out of curiosity, which boosts your ratings. Nice guys like Rabbi S. J. don’t get the same coverage cause they aren’t offensive and people don’t discuss them with their friends.

For the same reason most of the print and television news media are liberals (or at least Democrat-aligned).
Whereas most television talk show hosts and really most news stations as well are both left leaning and close minded. The latter of which spends more time spreading propaganda then spreading actual accurate news stories.
Or Hollywood which is full of liberals who spearhead most of the nonsense going on in the US. Lest I remind you it's also full of child predators, drugs addicts, cultists and in general creeps and mentally ill individuals. Who pretty much blackmail you unless your more powerful then they are or you adhere to their way of thinking.
When it comes to entertainment, social media, media and news the left dominates it unfortunately.
There are millions of people that drive to work every day. They all work for a living and pay taxes. The great majority of them are conservatives. They all have radios in their cars. These talk show hosts have a built in audience that drive to work every day.
The same thing except in reverse can be said about most news anchors and almost all major print journalism. The truth is these people find a market and sell to it. Half of them probably do not even believe most of what they spew, but they are all making bank on getting everyday people hyped up and upset with their neighbors.
A better question is why is 90% of the rest of the media liberal? Conservatism in media is a small niche market. Even on radio it's a small market.
Maybe because only the older generation listens to the radio
Because most people don't actually listen to the radio
Because radio is old school like conservatives, the good old days you could say
Who would waste their time listening to a democrat? What could you POSSIBLY get out of it?
Because most people who listen to talk radio are conservatives.
Because that's supposedly where most of the money is
It's all about money for conservativesCuz most of the middle of the USA are red states
