Why did my ex boyfriend wants my attention?

He broke up with me 2years ago and is still single. Rejected me twice when I told him I still likes him. friends and I can see that he still likes me. He would try to get my attention, gets jealous easily, always sneaking glances at me and I know he misses me sometimes. He lights up when I'm around, can't stop smiling if I'm talking to him. The reason we broke up if cos he's insecure and thought that someday I might leave him. I don't get why he keep rejecting me if he still likes me? Ugh so confusing. Any men out that can explain this to me?

clearly he's conflicted. he likes you but he is insecure about your rejecting him. it's essentially like a civil war within his mind. he wants you but is also afraid of what might happen if he is with you. sounds like he's got a big fear of being hurt in relationships
