How do you feel about the idea of grocery delivery as opposed to going to a physical store?

I personally do it more now. It's very convenient and beneficial especially if you don't have a car and live with an elderly housemate.

Under the conditions you describe, it might work. I have several issues with it, currently. For context, we're a family of six, including three teenage boys and an 11 year old girl.

First, it takes longer to navigate around the web site, the pages to load, selections to come up than if I just drove to the store and walked the aisles.

Second, the prices are almost always higher for my stores (and Amazon Fresh) than at the store -- and that's not including the delivery fee.

Third, for my stores, the online selection is much different (and much more limited) than what's in the store. That's really frustrating. I don't understand the logistics behind why I can get something in the store but not online from the same company.

Fourth, you'll often order something on one day for delivery on the next but they're out of it by the time the truck delivers it. Even though it was available when you placed the order. Then you either get a substitution (that's higher priced) or you don't get it and have to go out anyway.

I get that there's convenience, but I prefer to go to the store.

it can be useful, practical and even necessary sometimes, yes...

but I prefer to pick things myself, especially fruits and vegetables... I'm quite fussy about these things...

scrolling for hours on the grocery app to see what i want is time consuming. when i can just go to the store and browse faster, and also don't have to wait for the groceries to be delivered. plus don't have to pay extra fees. yeah i'll stick with going to the store myself.

I think it's good and convenient for people who would need such. But other than that, I love going to the store with mom and looking at everything there is to see.

I won't do it. I don't want people knowing where I live. Last thing I need is some stranger showing up unannounced because my girl wanted to order snacks or something. I don't need another charge
