Why won't he add me on his instagram?

My boyfriend has recently made an instagram about 2 weeks ago. Last weekend i found out and i wanted to add him and he said we can do it later and he said twice that " why is it so important to you ". we had a talk about cheating and he isn't cheating on me ( my friend made a fake account and yeah long story but he's not). Then i followed him today and he didn't follow me back altough he followed a bunch of other people ( like models mostyly showing their butts, some other famous people and his ex). My friends followed him too and he didn't follow them either? we discussed that he had nothing to hide so why won't he follow me or my friends?

that's weird, maybe he is embarrassed to have you on his IG list for now.

thats weird tho he is my boyfriend... and he can't be embarrassed to add my friends then?

it is difficult for me to asses this with how much I have to go on. MAYBE... he just wants his IG profile to be all about what he follows, kind of like advertising his interests, so he follows all those models and stuff, etc. but not you, being really strict about it.
