If he likes me, then why does he seem angry around me at times?

This guy knows I like him and I am pretty certain that he likes me also.

His behavior is kind of strange though. Before he knew I liked him, and even after, it seems one day he can't stop staring at me, another day it is like he will make it a point to not look at me when I pass. One day he will go out of his way to be around me, even coming up with stuff which you can tell is just to make conversation. Other days, he will be talking to our co-worker but acts/seems like he is angry with me for some reason. It goes back and forth and it is very confusing/frustrating.

Why would a guy act like that? I mean I like him, I feel he likes me, and I am a nice person and have not said or done anything that should make him or anyone else angry. It is just strange to me. It is like one day he hates me, and the next day he just wants to be around me when he can.

Any ideas?

If this is a guy you work with, unless you have literally told him "I like you and would like to date you" I doubt he'll make a move. Too many horror stories about sexual harassment lawsuits have made a lot of guys timid (I'm one of them, my uncle lost a 26 year job at HP over a frivolous lawsuit).

I have told him I like him, and I have suggested hanging out away from work some time. I feel like he wants to/yet doesn't want to. I sometimes feel like he REALLY likes me, but other times doesn't want to. It is hard to explain. But I do sense that he is being careful. Most flirting occurs when it is just us, or around people we each do not work with. Otherwise he is strictly business around people we know. Maybe he had a problem before at a job. Don't know what's up.

He's just being careful. 20-30 years ago he'd have been fine but nowadays just talking to a girl in the presence of a disapproving coworker can get you reprimanded - that happened to me when I worked at Intel a few years ago.

Wow. I didn't know things got that bad that even an observant co-worker can have so much weight. I have seen cases where it has to be one of the actual parties involved. But if anything he could probably get me for harassment cause I have put stuff in writing and in text (nothing bad..just expressing my like for him), so he knows I am consenting. :p If I could just get him away from the office so we could discuss, that would be ideal. I work for a vendor on-site,so I can request new position
