I agree with privacy not secrecy. There’s a difference. Learn that first. Privacy doesn’t mean you make your actions look like your committing a crime. If you’re in a relationship there should never be something that you do that can’t be told to your partner. And if there is, well you get my point. Its hiding and in turn not being completely honest.
@k_223 is right. There's a difference between privacy and being secretive.
@DaMack999 Sounds reasonable with her suspicions. Being trusting doesn't mean being stupid to suspicious behavior. If he had nothing to hide he would ease her concerns not get upset.
Guys if you got something bothering you with your man, then bring it up and stop pushing a separate agenda that has nothing to do with the phone. Cause I guarantee this isn't about the phone. Its fact he isn't giving her enough attention. So she should address that in meaningful way instead of pushing a material blame. Cause today is phone, tomorrow is the T. V or laptop. Where does it end?
Or maybe you should stop assuming it's about something other than what it is. A man going out of his way hiding his phone when he never did it before is a big red flag to be suspicious of. It'sba red flag for a woman to do it too. That has nothing to do with attention. So stop acting like you're the one man that has womens behavior figured out. That attitude will leave you womanless in no time because you'll never understand one thinking you got it all figured out.
If you're interested in women that is. If not then women are your competition so I can understand your catty comment.
I get he wants his privacy but if he goes out of his way to make sure you'll never have a look at his phone then he's probably hiding something from you. Have a talk with him.
Maybe he just doesn't trust you. Many of us hate snoopy, prying people, even if we have nothing to hide at all. Some people (women especially) have no respect for privacy or boundries.
Maybe he searches for weird / sinister things in google and doesn't want you to see what he is looking for. This is what I do at least, I don't like to be observed.

Is this even a question? You're 35 use your common sense
He is talking to other girls behind your back. I mean I hate to say it but you probably need to break up with him since if he doesn't respect you.
He’s cheating to me if their hiding things their something going on. I don’t hide my phone from my partner. I’ll always give them access.
He's probably watching a lot of embarrassing anime and doesn't want you to see it.
He doesn't want you to know what he has on his phone.
Confront him about it! Be straightforward and see how he acts
He wouldn't have to hide it if you truly weren't such a Nosey Girlfriend Lmao
Ask him. But lack of trust is usually the start of an ending to relationships
Because he must be chatting on Gag with other chicks.. like I do.. lol
Where there’s smoke there’s fire
He doesn’t want you to find his collection of memes
He's cheating on you. That's what you want to hear right?
There’s a good chance he is cheating.
Trust your intuition.
