A guy told our mutual friends he finds me "very attractive' and kept flirting with me. His close friend kept telling me he was talking about me to their friends and how he thinks I'm pretty. We were texting each other a bit and he always stared at me when he saw me and sent me pics of himself (not nudes though).

I thought we were at least interested in each other, but when I told him I'm attracted to him also and would be interested in getting to know him, he rejected me. I said I'd be interested in getting to know him better in a text and he didn't even reply. He was moving away to be fair but I took the lack of reply as an "I don't like you back" sort of thing. Why the confusing behaviour?

I don't usually put my neck out like that for men which is why I only do it if I think they're interested. But he wasn't clearly lol. Was I too forward or something

Some people are weird in that they lose interest when "the chase" or not knowing if someone likes you, stops. So maybe he found you hot, was interested or whatever, but he lost interest after you were up front about it. Whatever it is, that guy wasn't the right guy for you then
