well if a pill takes a certain type of emotion out of my system, than that pill is fake because even our negative feelings are part of us, and taking them all away for the rest of our life may feel good but in a sense unhuman because as humans we are meant to experience all kinds of things, and everything in us, even the negative emotions, have a purpose and taking that purpose away is like taking a part of our personality away. I think it's those negative times that make us realize how strong we are when we go through it and survive, and it's the negative emotions that help us appreciate the positive ones

Personally no, because pain and such is a part of life (not to mention physical pain is a way of your body telling you something is wrong). I want to experience life to the fullest while I can, and if that means sometimes I'm going to suffer a bit, then so be it :)

Haha my first instinct was like some here also, negative emotions help us truly experience and live life. Like you can't know true happiness until you've felt true despair, all these sort of things. But I honestly think it's because that's all we know, being human and being born knowing emotions of all kind we accept that as what's to be expected from only knowing life. But what if we changed that by erasing those other feelings... I'd take the pill. I don't wanna no sadness, pain, or anger. I'll take the chance that grass is Greener on the other side. I would but in reality a permanent pill like that doesn't exist only temporary drugs do and those do horrible damage to your brain the only way to acquire the level of happiness your speaking of is through finding yourself and practicing mental techniques

No. I believe experiencing multiple different emotions is how you evolve as a person and develop a deeper perception, it also helps you to be empathetic to other people's causes, because you can understand their pain.
