So I'm leaving out of the country for a month and he is leaving a few weeks after me to some other place(sometime). He wanted to meet up and told me to contact him when I made up my mind about what time to go hang. I did and he never responded or contact me at all. So I just assumed that I am not worth anything to him at all. he knows that I'm leaving. In am really nice to him and often have gone out of my way for him because I cared and thought we could be friends. He flirts with me but I pretend not to notice because I am not ready for a relationship (due to abuse). I feel that getting involved with him would be wrong because I haven't healed from it yet. In the past he has tried to make me jealous but instead of being jealous I tried to be there for him because he was having a hard time and was not himself-his response he avoided me and gave me blunt answers when I talked to him. so yeah there is my story. If you can help me that would be great. Thank you so much for your time ^_^

I think that he is being immature. Whether or not you're ready for a relationship is entirely up to you and no one knows you're situation better then yourself. So if you're not ready, then he should accept that. And to say "Hey let's hang out ..." but then not respond when you try to make plans is just a lame thing to do. I say move on and go have fun on your travels! He's not really worth the concern.

I think he's intentionally trying to hurt you from making you believe that "you're not worth his time".

Which in fact means that he does have strong and silent feelings for you.

I use to do this when I don't get what I want, by resenting my crush that friend zoned me.
