Do you think I said something that pissed him off? Is that why he stopped coming into my shop?

This regular customer used to come in a lot, he was chatty and friendly towards me! And would always talk to me about random things like what he did over the weekend etc. One day he came with his coworker and his coworker order something and asked him if he wanted the same thing and i was trying to be friendly, joke around and i said "hes pretty consistent" in like a lower tone sarcastic voice, he told me he was so i didn't think there was any harm to it. After that he didn't come for a week, and when he did last week he was with his other coworker looked really tense, not like angry or anything just looked at me with a blank expression... he told me he went to starbucks and that his girlfriend took him there, and on Monday when he came in for a meeting he didn't even look straight ahead.. i strongly feel like i did something to piss him off, maybe it was what i said but i really do think he stopped coming in cause i said/did something.. I don't know what do you think

Something must be on his mind. It is not necessarily because of 'something wrong'. I had a case here where a shop-girl seemed to have taken a fancy in me. At least this was my impression. As I am in a relation, I reduced the otherwise very friendly contact. Could be, that your case is similar?

I don't know, i think he's had one this whole time and he must of known or suspected i liked him awhile ago.. i mean i was trying to be discreet about my feelings, i guess what i said gave it away?

Affection very often confronts us with bad timing :( One other day - later- you will have made a move anyway, I guess. The facts would have been the same. From what I read here, you had an amicable relation. He likes you. Two or three comments will switch on your friendship again. Better YOU start it. Us men are better in fixing cars; to talk about emotions is not our strength.

If the girl I tend to flirt with at the gas station near my house said something like that it wouldn't upset me cause I would agree, but if he got upset then I guess he misunderstood your joke as something that was making fun of him.
