Is she cheating or am I just being paranoid?

So I’m not usually the suspicious or jealous type but my girlfriend has been acting different lately and I don’t want to suspect the worst but she’s never acted like this in the past. We’ve been together for two years now and we’ve been open with each other throughout the relationship.

Lately, though, she’s always locking her phone when I’m nearby and when I did a software update for her (while I was updating my own phone) she threw a fit and started yelling at me for invading her privacy and that I had no business touching her property. Meanwhile, I’ve let her use my phone with no issues.

Then, one of my friends said she saw my girlfriend having dinner with one of her coworkers who is also single. When I asked her about it, she flat out denied it and said that my friend was lying because he didn’t want my girlfriend and I to be together because my friend was jealous of our relationship. He’s been my friend for years and I’ve known him longer than my girlfriend and he even has his own girlfriend who is now his fiancé.

The last thing that really made me really suspicious is I found a pregnancy test in the trash. I didn’t go searching in the trash but it was at the top of the trash in the bathroom like she wasn’t even trying to hide it. When I asked her about it, she claimed it wasn’t hers and then accused ME of cheating.

Im just not sure what to do. Am I being paranoid?

So I may have taken things too far based on the responses I got on here. I posed as law enforcement over the phone calling her that the person who I thought she was seeing behind my back had gone missing. She broke down and said that was impossible because they had seen each other a couple nights ago while I was working late. I kicked her out of our house and threw everything of hers out on the lawn and now she is begging to come back. I was so furious that I told her to go stay with her lover.

A lot of red flags here mate. Something is definitely up. People normally project onto you what they are doing wrong. Keep vigilant and guard your heart I would say.

Yeah definitely cheating. Had a girl that I dated who would lock her phone around me or tilt it away while she was texting on it if I just as much so walk into the room. That’s an obvious sign.


Impersonating a cop is probably very illegal, but in the end you did catch her. Good work on getting out of there and sorry you had a shitty relationship too.
