How do you find men who want a housewife?

I want to be a house wife, I have a degree and investments to fall back on if I must leave a marriage but I know I want a traditional lifestyle where I can provide for my family at home. I was never raised to believe women should do demanding labor as much as to nurture their children, cultivate a home, and please their husbands.

Some women may disagree but I don’t find this lifestyle binding, I actually find it simple and beautiful. I would be totally in favorite of possibly running a small business I could take care of from home or teaching other women how to cook from home etc to bring in a small share but I don’t know if men now are still open to stay at home women and wives. Where to do find men who are want stay at home wives?

It all starts with your list of criteria and dating style.

I only date men who go out of their way for me and pay for most things right from the start. If they are ready to care for you from the start and give freely already, then they likely already accept their role as a provider.

As what they are looking for early on and what an ideal relationship looks like for them. What do they feel a husband's role is and a wife's role is? What are their expectations?
Are your expectations realistic for their income? Can you agree on making up the difference if they can't afford what you want? Are you both on the same page financially?

Communicate very early what you expect.

Have realistic expectations. It's fair to expect a husband to cover all the basic needs for a stay at home wife or mom. When you get into extras and things you want but don't need, do not just expect them. They should be seen as gifts and romantic gestures but not entitlements.

Men are much less open to this arrangement if no children are involved. They will also be much more demanding and rightfully so.

Consider what you have to offer. Make a list, and be able to communicate what you're going to be doing to hold up your end of the relationship.

They don't have to be religious. I'm not religious, and none of my partners are.

If you have to try to convince him, then he's not right for the job.

Don't marry someone if there's a prenupt. They are already looking to get out of the relationship. That shows a lack of commitment. It's inherently ungenerous. Also, it assumes that the marriage will end badly instead of on good terms and fairly.

I have two husbands who pay for everything and spoil me rotten after nearly 17 years and 10 years together. Our anniversaries are the beginning of the year. Most of my other partners have also paid for everything. My mostly passive income is all freed up to put back into investments every month for the future of our family.

@Tim2nice One is legally my husband and the other is a non official/non legal contract husband.

Although the legalities are the only real difference. Marriage existed long before modern legal systems, and hundreds of millions of marriages around the world happen without any government permission. Marriages through the law are considered official/legal marriages. In practice, a marriage is two lives melding and becoming as one with a life long commitment.

Our lives are combined, everything is shared, and we do share a life long commitment and present ourselves to friends and family as spouses.

Even in the U. S. bigamy is only a prosecuted crime when other laws are broken such as secretly marrying two people and defrauding one or both. With polygamy, both spouses know and accept the relationships, so no fraud is occurring. There are tens of thousands of polygamists from various cultures in the U. S.

The issue with this comment is that, most men are more reluctant to pay for something if you are unable to do that for him. He is more willing to do it knowing that you won't use him as an ATM and expects him to pay for everything that you do. I am aware that this topic is about a housewife. But a woman who doesn't care about money, at all, is more of a price and more rare than a woman who expects him to pay for it.

In order to find a traditional man, you need to be a traditional woman from the first second you meet and won't start to change your ways after the fact that you got either pregnant by him or got married to him.

1. You need lower standards for the size/price of a house and car.

2. Tell them up front that you are okay with a prenuptial agreement where he gets to keep his house, car, etc.

3. Stay away from bars, clubs, drugs, alcohol, and party people in general.

4. Try a serious dating site like eHarmony. None of the free ones.

5. Realize that there will be times when you want to go do something because you have plenty of energy left, but he is tired from working and just wants to come home and relax. (being a house spouse and taking care of kids takes MUCH less time and energy than working 40 hours per week.)

My husband and female best friend both chose being workaholics (working full time and going to college) over staying home with children. A 40 hour work week beats a 24/7 shift in every way.

@wolfcat87 Taking care of kids isn't even close to working a full time job as far as how much time and energy it takes. If it was so difficult, why don't more women agree to work and let their husband stay home? (Because they know a full time job takes a lot more than taking care of kids.)

Men generally refuse to stay home and aren't as good with kids. Most men know it's a pain.

Ha ha ha, in all my years of studying Child Development an Psychology, that was never presented in school, any study, or seen in a professional environment. I would love to see you link to these peer reviewed and published studies. They are all online for anyone to see, so it should be easy to prove.

@wolfcat87 It is in education text books when getting a teaching degree. And if you look into crime statistics, most convicted felons come from single mother households. Same goes for kids that commit suicide. And kids in single father homes have higher test scores to go along with much less criminal convictions.

Also, you appear to be confusing correlation vs causation.

Single fathers who have sole custody of their children often had to jump through hoops to get to that point. That does not mean all single fathers are better or that men are better with children. It means that legally there's a higher standard to become a single father in the first place.

You can also look up what percent of men are more likely to abuse, molest, rape, and murder children vs women. The rate of men doing all of these is infinitely higher than women. When looked at overall as percentages of care givers, men are twice as likely to physically abuse children, and 90% of those sexually abusing children are men. Although women make up 90% of the primary caregivers of children, only half of child murders are committed by women. Meaning statistically women are less likely to kill children when they are put in our care.

Almost every quality man would prefer a wife who wants to be a homemaker and a real mother to his children. The challenge is finding a guy who can afford that lifestyle these days. They do exist though. I hope you find one because you are a higher value woman than most, and you deserve it.
