when everything got instantly available... when guys and girls start living their lives so that they can get "likes" and boost their confidence on that and not actually working and improving themself... when everything became just a shadow how it actually is...
then generation is lost
bring nokia 3310 and you will see how generation is improving when you need to actually talk to someone to present yourself and get a real "like"
Corporal punishment does work, how else do you punish corporals. Bad pun aside, corporal punishment isn't necessarily hitting someone. Corporal punishment can also be physical activity or doing military drill/any physical discipline.
Absolutely not, they're the most conservative generation yet despite so many leftists trying to force their flawed beliefs and censoring anyone who calls their nonsense.
This gen can't fill the military billets. In other words, there's not enough soldiers, sailors, mechanics, technicians, cooks, engineers etc. Not to mention that seal teams require 12 men, but over the past 10 years, their numbers have been dwindling down as low as 7 or 8 per team. Shame on you.
Mine are actually. In fact one of 'em is taking up writing classes. She wants to make satire Like I did for a while. For one of the lower levels of education, I'd say that's pretty impressive. So have a little perspective and try not to be so generalizing.
There are some gems in the bunch, but as a collective? No. I'm trying to reach them before they get to that stage and hopefully instill some good stuff into them.
Yeah, I feel like traditional classrooms will need to evolve. Learning should be more independent anyways.
When kids have the freedom to learn whatever they want, whenever they want by picking up their cellphone. Putting them in a room and trying to force them to learn about history and biology is nonsense.
We need new ways to facilitate learning and collaboration, not government regulated curriculums.
Anyways I probably don't know what I'm talking about, but that's what I think
I'm talking about the kids I see running through the halls every day cursing teachers out and disrespecting their peers. I'm talking about them lashing out when you try to help them. I'm talking about them not giving a fuck about anything. That's what I'm talking about.
I'm tired of people tearing younger adults apart. There is good and bad in every generation. It is better to look at what good the people in our own generation are doing. It is easy to play the blame game.
the negativity toward young adults is astounding. I was a good kid always but the stuff I saw kids do in the 60s and 70s many of the kids today would never have thought of pulling. And a lot of young people are worried about their futures. Some of them saw there parents struggle with the recession. KIds got jobs early to either help out the family or to not have their parents pay for things.
Young people are not all lazy, lost, etc. They know they have to work hard, learn a skill or go to college because they can't necessarily depend on others to help them out. Older adults are supposed to be mentors and the support to younger adults.
I asked the question and gave my thoughts based off MY experience. I'm around kids every single day as an educator. Teaching and mentoring is what I do. I'm not tearing anyone down. I'm also not going to pretend to have blinders on. It's very disheartening to see the behaviors that I see on a daily basis.
It can't be all on the kids. They have parents. When I was in school I saw kids drinking and high in school and that was in the 70s. The school district was for a small city of 13,000 with the outlying country areas. Rich kids were bored and got themselves into alcohol and drugs. I remember listening to two boys whose parents were executives in the local big company making arrangements for a bulk marijuana buy in the lunch line. Parents were buying kegs for their kids graduations parties. etc. etc. etc. It was just that kids were sneakier than now.

good old days
@Codywow He probably has it in x64 as well.
I don't fully disagree. I mean things were cool when MySpace was around, but once Facebook went full steam ahead... shit hit the fan.
brought the worst in human nature
I agree they are discovering porn to early. A lot of them are disrespectful as well.
They're mad disrespectful. Working in a K-8 you'd surprised at how much the disrespect comes from the younger ones. It's crazy.
Ever since they demonize spankings. π€·π½ββοΈ. They act like corporal punishments work.
Corporal punishment does work, how else do you punish corporals. Bad pun aside, corporal punishment isn't necessarily hitting someone. Corporal punishment can also be physical activity or doing military drill/any physical discipline.
Then why are so many kids disrespectful today? Maybe you wanna pay the teachers a visit. Iβm sure they would think otherwise.
I think they watch too much online porn at too young of an age.
It's not normal porn either.
Yeah, they worry me a bit.
Absolutely not, they're the most conservative generation yet despite so many leftists trying to force their flawed beliefs and censoring anyone who calls their nonsense.
This generation cannot supply enough able bodied males or females who can pass basic physical and mental requirements.

I agree. They have nothing essential in their lives, only substantial things. They have no purpose.
They have purpose. Everyone does. They just lack the ability to fulfill it.
No they dont, purpose is created by community, these people are individualists.
There's a lot more potential in my current batch of students than there is in my own generation.
Yes and the problem is that they aren't tapping into it

Awesome. I'm a writer too
Really? I feel like those guys are better than people in our age range.
There are some gems in the bunch, but as a collective? No. I'm trying to reach them before they get to that stage and hopefully instill some good stuff into them.
Oh, you're a teacher?
Kindergarten
Yeah, it's kinda true. We were born in a time of chaos.
You are talking about teenagers here. I don't think we can judge their hormones and their school schedules
I feel they hold more promise. The majority falls deeper into darkness, sure, but the minority grows in both strength and number
This generation has more potential than you boomers. You will see how much the world will advance since you boomers like to sabotage everything
He's 31, not a boomer lol
Urine. As in urine idiot. You and your 'boomer' everything. Fuck off.
Go suck a wet fart from under Nancy pelosi ass and hold it in like a bong hit you boomers
Thank you. I resemble that remark. :)
Boomers>millennials
@Browneye57 okay boomer
OMG YOU ARE FUCKIN HILARIOUS, YOU SHOULD SERIOUSLY CONSIDER A CAREER IN COMEDY π€£
I agree with you. And it keeps getting worse. Kids of my generation were a lot more innocent.
Definitely getting worse
in my opinion the generation you're referring to is trying to become too smart for its own good.
Saving them from what?
Themselves.
Still vague as fuck
Lmao, for real. Still trying to figure out what this question is even asking about.

Hahaha what the fuck are you talking about?

Thatβs not just the recent generationβs attitude. Not saying itβs ok but itβs nothing new.
True but it's just so much worse. And seeing it every day and with kids so young, it's just disheartening.
Are you a teacher or something?
I am.
Awh that explains it.
Yup.
I donβt think so. But Iβm teenager but saved from what?
Dang no they are not lost.

We said the same thing about your generation too.
I'm sure. But it's far worse.
I believe it.
Okay boomer.
Lmao I'm not even a decade older than you. Get a grip.
Cool, then stop acting like a boomer with all your stupid pearl clutching about "kids these days".
Lmao says the one who's talking about clutched pearls. Ok grandma. Forgive me for actually giving a damn.
Give a damn about what? All you did is say "Man, these kids are a lost cause". You didn't even have a ~point~. You literally bitched about nothing.
Like a boomer.
@BreakingSound 100% agree!
I didn't bitch about a thing. I asked a QUESTION. Your job is to answer the question according to YOUR opinion.
Yes and no. And omg! So good to see you girl 😍😍
Omg how are youuu!
ππππ I'm good! How are you? I'm so happy to see you here
I knowww, it's been so long! I'm doing ok how are you?
