Shyness and inroversion are two different things, just saying.
I never said they were the same. But they go a lot hand in hand.

My boyfriend is one of the shyest people you're going to meet, but that's partially the reason I fell for him.
I know a lot of girls who have a thing for why guys. Maybe they don't know how to approach those guys but they like them anyways. And the hottest guys I know has been shy and introverted. They are mysterious and interesting. Girls have secret crushes for them but when it comes to approachin those guys, it is a little harder.

In the past, I have admittedly gone for bad boys, but I know a few sweet, shy guys. I dated two of them and they were the ones I was the most physically attracted to and who I fell for the hardest.
One thing you definitely learn is to never underestimate a shy guy. They aren't so shy behind closed doors.

You can be an introvert alright, but that don't make you a genius so don't think these quotes mean you're necessary smarter, just because you don't talk much/are socially awkward. You don't have to feel ashamed of being shy but don't think you're any better than someone a little louder and more confident than you.
To be shy or introvert isn't about not being confident. People can be very confident about themselves and still be shy. Shyness is more about not wanting attention. I never said shy people are better than the more outgoing ones, but I wanted to point out it is not a negative thing. People put down shy people and Introverts, even though it is nothing negative. I think I wanted to show a little more positive side of it and I am sorry I offended you with that.
Don't worry I understand what you meant (and agree I know a lot of introverts most are friendly) but those quotes are a little too much of trying to say shy/introverts are better (even if that wasn't your intention).
to an extend she's actually right. i have noticed that the louder ones tend to usually be the dumber ones. not that there is anything wtong with that.
@slimstiffy Possibly but that's doesn't mean that if you're quiet it would make you an intellectual. She probably doesn't mean it that way but it sounds more like if you're quiet/shy you're better than someone a little louder instead of you're equal. (Besides I was shy and quiet in elementary school but I'm happy that I'm more confident and louder now).
Well, it is often said that shy/introverts are somehow not as good as extroverts and loud people. I wanted to point out why it is not true. Shy people and introverts won't go all crazy and feel like they are better just for getting a little positive feedback. So you don't have to be so hurt about the fact that I lifted them up a little. I do not say that loud people are not equal to quiet people, but I do claim that there is both good and bad in everyone.
yeah i was shy and more introverted too younger. i have grown more bold now, as i think most people do when they grow up, but im nowhere close to a natural extrovert. and im perfectly happy, i wouldn't enjoy being like that too much. since i considered myself pretty smart, and i didn't see the extroverts usually being that smart ( im not bragging) i tought other shy kids were like me too. but i was provem wrong by some kids who were unable to answer my questions properly when i trued making small talk with them ( and it wasn't shyness, i know).

I hate my shyness and introversion. It's one of the worst things about me because it's why I make no friends and never will have any. It's bad enough I have all the schizo and possibly Asperger's stuff on top.
