Which way is she spinning?

I mostly see clockwise but these visual puzzles irritate me so much. Her reflection doesn't even make contact with the floor. Is she levitating?
Why do naked women have to dance in front of me all the time anyway? I'm married! I want to grab the breasts and butts! I'm not a saint!
The whole ambiguity lies in the silhouette. Like with her legs, you can see them as stationed in that pose or almost like her kicking in a counter-motion. I can make her spin the counter-clockwise way if I concentrate but I don't like people asking me to fuck up my normal way of thinking! And I'm married!
I can only see counter clockwise. I don't see how you can see her spin any other way.
It can be hard to see the first switch, but I have found it becomes easier and easier every time I do it, with practice. It probably took me a few minutes the first time, now I can make her switch in less than 5 seconds, sometimes every revolution if I really concentrate on it.
look at the bottom, where you see the shadow of the foot going from right to left, left to right. Don't look at the top. You could even use the scroll feature to move the top part out of sight. Now that you are looking at the shadow of the foot, you have to switch the direction in your imagination, and once you have it, look back up at the ballerina.
Like I said, it takes a little while to get it, but knowing that you can, and a little focus/practice, I think you can do it :)
you know what, I'm sorry, I told you wrong, it's not the shadow. you are right it goes from right to left always. It's actually the foot in the air that goes right to left, then left to right, and that's where I switch it in my mind. I just make it go left to right, left to right, instead of right to left, right to left. It's kind of hard to explain obviously, but the other important part is seeing that it is FRONT of the ballerina when it makes the switch rather than letting it go behind.
so leg in the air, left to right, in front of her, that makes her spin counterclockwise. I think the scrolling trick combined with that hopefully will help.
another user said that she read seeing counterclockwise means left brain more developed, and clockwise means right brain more developed. So maybe your left brain is just very strong compared to your right, making it difficult.
I saw counterclockwise first, but then when I tried what you described with the shadow, I was able to see her spinning the opposite way also. Very interesting post. I love optical illusions.
I see counterclockwise
Wow!
I looked up before commenting finally and now I see clockwise.
Weird haha
I know, cool, right? I love things like this to remind us not to be so certain reality is what we are so convinced it is. I don't know if I'm reading too much into it, but I see it as a good sign of mental flexibility and open mindedness to be able to see it so quickly.
Yep. I love it.
The weird thing is when I first look at it it looks like it is counterclockwise and when I double check it looks clockwise. Kinda seeing both I guess.
I’ve just checked the counterclockwise means your left hemisphere is more developed, and the clockwise means your right hemisphere is better. That’s pretty interesting.
ah for me she starts clockwise (at least now that I've started to tally), and it will change on it's own rarely; usually I put some focus on it to make it change for me.
Let’s check if the science behind it is right.
If you see it clockwise first it, they say it means you’re good at visual-spatial skills, shapes, 3 D forms, arts, creativity. Is that what you are good at?
Mine would be dominant left hemisphere - analytic, science, writing.
I can confirm that I am not very good at Maths, but I am good at both, science and writing. That actually fits for me.
How about you?
Of the things you listed, I would say my biggest strengths are writing, visual-spatial, creativity, and analysis. I think I'm a fairly decent mix, and I am creative but not in a typical artsy-craftsy creating paintings type way. I'm more linguistic, writing poetry/prose or doing theater arts like improv or storytelling.
From a nursing perspective, (like if someone had a stroke), the left side is associated with the right side of the body (weakness or paralysis), linguistics (both speaking and understanding what you hear), and critical thinking skills and safety awareness. Left hemisphere dysfunction can result in a person making foolish choices regarding their personal safety.
You write poetry? I write poetry as well! I don’t usually mention it as it feels a bit corny these days, but lots of my peers read them and ask me to write a book cause they say they’d love to read.
I guess, that’s why you see the both ways, cause both of your hemispheres are doing decent job haha
That nursing perspective is pretty interesting as well. Learned something new today.
I do, here's an untitled poem I wrote while (and about) wildland firefighting:
-------------untitled-----------------
Dry earth cracked granite paws
sleeping intertwined w/ roots rocks ants needle cast timber litter
I've become part of the land
Eating dust breathing smoke
kindled heart burning bright, consuming everything in sight
I've become part of the dragon
Mind floating with the clouds to far off lands
neither here nor there nor anywhere in between yet omnipresent
I've become part of the world
I haven't read any of your stuff, but yeah, you should take your friends' advice and put a book out! It would be fun if nothing else. I have a book kind of together, I was going to self publish on Amazon... lol I should take my own advice, I just 'haven't got around to it.'
Amazing!
I had to check a couple of words in dictionary as English is not my first nor my 2nd language, I’ve read it 3 times and it feels like you were really in the moment, describing it the way that makes me feel I was there too, fighting with the fire dragon. I am impressed.
Isn’t writing the poetry the best kind of meditation? I’ve felt that sometimes when I manage to fully take out my words into the paper and make it sound like a music, and when I read it I feel so powerful to have created something like this, you might not believe but I think I have felt orgasm just by writing and reading what I have written.
Yup, I want to write a book as well, but I am very impatient I can’t sit for long without my mind roaming somewhere and I’d rather experience adventures and then sit there writing about them.
Maybe someday I’ll become ready for it, but I feel sad my audience would just be 3-4 million Georgians who speak my language.
That’s nice you’ve managed ti write a book unlike me, seems like you have discipline and patience. What is your book about?
My book is simply a compilation of poetry and prose I wrote. If you want to DM me I will send you a link to the doc.
You are from Georgia? I think maybe that makes it even more important and a bit special that you produce a bit of literature, because without people doing so, that 3-4 million may become sad that they have so few authors. What do you think? Especially if it's so good as to cause orgasm. Even if it got someone halfway there, that's still very impressive! I don't doubt your feeling and passion, I have a similar love for reading and writing.
Don't judge my discipline too hastily, though. I am sometimes patient and diligent, other times I am impetuous and wild.
I enjoy writing my thoughts out. I also kept a dream journal, it is definitely a meditative practice as well as a creative one. Not too bad to do in preparation for, or in reflection of, those adventurous times. That's what I love about a dream journal, it's there to relive the experiences and perhaps see something deeper.
Yup. I’ll dm you, I’d love to read it.
Eh, discipline is something I lack and I even considered joining army so that I could learn it but I don’t have even slightest discipline and I am very impuslive, always acting as I feel like acting. So I really admire your ability to have written your own book.
You know, when I write I try to make it so I’ll at least cause goosebumps in the reader, and will create a melody that will be catchy and will sound like music made with words.
I compare it to orgasm because I guess I took all of my emotions to paper and I treat it as spiritually as sex, it’s more like having sex with yourself or the readers haha
I try to start slow, play with them, like flirting with whoever is reading my poetry, giving the pleasing points bit by bit, making them want for more, then making it a bit faster in melody, and then I try to give the culmination, if I don’t get goosebumps and a big wave of pleasure in the end I feel like it’s not good enough maybe.
Yep, I am from Georgia. Even though we are just 3 million we have pretty rich literature.
You know, when I was younger I promised myself I’d never like a poet, as poets are people with such a deep appreciation of beauty and life that it’s almost impossible to let them stay loyal to just one person.

Alright… so I said clockwise… but after much strain and effort, I got her to go counterclockwise! 😂🤣
That’s cool.
nice work
I originally saw counter-clockwise, but after watching for a minute, she suddenly flipped to clockwise.
I tend to believe she really is spinning clockwise, though, because of her foot. If you watch the silhouette, you can see her big toe and her smaller toes. Watching the way they move in and out of view can verify the direction she's spinning.
Actually, you'll notice that when she changes directions, the foot she's standing on changes as well. When she's spinning clockwise, her right hand and foot are in the air, and she's standing on her left. She stands on her right foot with left foot and hand in the air when spinning counterclockwise, and her big toe is still medial, her little toe peripheral.
For me it's going clockwise, but I only need to focus a little and it goes the other way. Then I make her go back and forth and look at her boobs.
I looked at it forever and could only see counterclockwise
Then of course after I answer the poll a few minutes later and still unable to understand how someone could see her spinning clockwise, it suddenly flipped direction
Counterclockwise is dominant
Very dominant
that is a pretty cool illusion. I see it both ways.
I’ll come back and look later, but it looks clockwise to me
I see both but mosttly clockwise
I think clockwise might be my "default" as well. It's hard to know anymore I've seen it so much both ways, but it seems to be clockwise more the first time I look at it after a break.
trueee
Counterclockwise - Now I could be wrong
No, actually, you can't be wrong on this one lol
Clockwise, nice body too.
