What do girls mean when they say they like confidence?

I was in a club and felt kind of awkward and unsure of myself and then caught a girl looking my way. So as I was getting a drink she managed to sneak next to me and we were shoulder to shoulder. I was like hey in an awkward way. She laughed and said you feeling alright. Then I said nah I'm feeling kind of out of it to be honest. So then we got a drink together and talked and made out for a while on a couch in the club. I've had nights were I've felt cocky like ohh yea I'm the man take my hand and girls have walked away thinking I'm a jerk. Yet this night where I was feeling awkward and not confident at all this girl and I had a really intimate make out session. So why do girls say they love confidence when being an insecure weirdo works out aswell? I would say I'm decent looking, tall, good body and a nice beard that would help, but trying to be a macho terminator type of guy doesn't really work all the time...

Not every girl is going to like the confident/cocky type. She clearly preferred someone who was more shy or introverted. Plus, women can easily pick up whether a guy is being authentic or not, and you clearly were just being yourself and honest by saying you were feeling out of it.

Confidence is always good, but if it comes across as too much or fake it won't get you very far

Because confidence and iver confidence are not the same plus in this situation clearly this 1 girl didn't care that u was shy

Yea I think she actually liked it more, which was strange knowing that most girls love a guy who behaves confident and assertive.

Oh that's good to know I'm not shy most of the time but I can be. It's nice to know there's no hard and fast rule about what attracts girls. Cheers
