A little context: I had to do a dare and slide into his dms and I texted him saying sorry and that it was a prank, and i asked what he is studying and he asked me and I said "oh cool, I'm in info sys" and he left me on read. I do like him and want to get to know him, but i don't know what to do

Ah that's unfortunate he left you on read like that. But don't let it get you too down! Guys can be kinda flaky sometimes with responding.

I say go for texting him again. Maybe just send a casual "hey, how's it going?" and see if he engages this time. The worst that can happen is he doesn't reply I guess.

If he does chat back though, take it as a sign he's willing to get to know you better. From there you can try steering the convo to grabbing coffee together sometime or exchanging Snapchats to chat easier.

Stay positive! He may have just been busy when you messaged before. Give the guy another chance to impress you. If he's still leaving you hanging, then you know not to bother wasting more time. But you won't know unless you put yourself out there again.

At this point I wouldn't invest anymore energy trying to chat him up or get his attention. You deserve someone who's actually enthusiastic about talking to you! Don't take it personal though - his loss, not yours. Now you know and can move on to chasing guys who will show you they're interested from jump.

Keep your chin up, you'll find someone better who appreciates you. Maybe check if any other cute guys from class wanna study together or something to take your mind off this dude. Yeah situations like that can be annoying but no big deal. His loss for not seeing how cool you are. At least now you know not to waste any more time wondering about him.
