There is this girl I just started talking to. She is 18 and never had a boyfriend. Although, she does have male friends she is close to, one of which she had feelings for.

The thing is, I seek a woman who has never had her first love or romantic bonds with a guy before. Yes, she may never had a boyfriend before, but she was close to a guy and had feelings for him. It bothers me.

What if a woman could reunite with someone from her youth and it be a sweeter, more desirable outcome? Maybe not now, but later in life. Even if she chooses to be with me anyways, it still hurts to know that sweeter outcome exists.

Okay, I'm going to start off by addressing the age difference here. 27 and 18 is a pretty big gap. They are in completely different stages of life... and that is a big issue. You're ready to settle down, but an 18 year old 99% of the time is not ready for that... even if they think they are.

This is a super hard thing to find unless you're actively looking at young women... And being bothered by the fact that she may have been close to a guy and had feelings for him... that's kind of a scary thing dude. I suggest you leave her alone.

I think it’s unfair that you’re willing to reject her simply because she has male friends. Your expectations are just far too constricting, it’s okay if you prefer someone who have never had a boyfriend before but you’re looking for someone who has never even had feelings for anyone else while you on the other hand have had feelings for other girls (despite not being in a relationship with them). I see. The girls I had feelings for were much younger than me. I cannot say at this point me and woman knew each other when we were both young. I was always older.

My fear is the hypothetical situation that exists to where someone from her youth she was close to may be a much sweeter, desirable outcome if they were to be together.

That’s exactly the issue, your fear is simply just a hypothetical situation that you came up with on your own. Have you thought that maybe the sweeter outcome is actually the two of you ended up together? Yeah she might have had a boyfriend in her youth but who knows it could’ve been a toxic relationship.

The two of you can now make new and sweeter memories together that would pretty much make the past irrelevant anyway, so just focus on the future and not so much the past.

No, it would be best to pass on that. You have no way of knowing what's going on between her and these guys. And even if nothing physical is going on with them, there seem to be strong emotional bonds there and that wouldn't be a good thing for you when trying to be in a relationship with her.

I think everyone, especially by the age of 18, has had a romantic interest in someone. If she does like you and you date etc that other boy she liked before won't matter anymore! I used to have a massive crush on this boy which i have seen a few times while being with my current boyfriend and i feel nothing in anyway for him because i'm head over heels for my boyfriend! She definitely deserves a chance, she is allowed male friends :)
There is always going to be someone "better" " funnier" or "prettier" as such out there but if you love someone then that won't get in the way of things. If it does that's life, whats meant to be is meant to be at the end of the day, take it as it comes and enjoy your time together !
