Why does GaG hate?

Fat people. Why do you all hate fat people so much? I haven't seen this much hate for overweight people since I browsed some fitness forums. Why are you people so bitter?

and i dont think you want an honest answer as to WHY,
but here it is.

lets go back to ancient times.. in two competing tribes, there are people who hunt and are good for the community, and there are people who sit around and absorb resources. the hunters are fit, and the absorbers become fat. one of the two tribes starts looking down on the fat members, and so the fat members CHANGE to fit in. that tribe becomes more healthy, and DOMINATES over the other one who would not put pressure on their members.

i think its natural. hardship is necessary for you to BECOME STRONGER.

Everyone hates on something, at least so it seems. If it's not fat people, it's something else equally upsetting that they can feel personally offended by.
Just ignore it, if it affects you, and know that those who would seriously hate someone because that person is fat, is not a person you would like to know and have in your life anyway. At least that is how I see it.

They need SOMETHING to feel good about. So in their case, they hate based on fat quantity. That makes themselves look so much superior in comparison.

I don't hate on fat people. Why would I? But I do tell them if they are explicitly overweight (like that girl who was 220 lbs at 5'7") that it really does hinder their attractiveness and it is a health risk, so they should change their diet a bit.

The preassure to conform to perceived norms is intense. So you get downvoted. Many people who break them are written off as trolls (although granted there are many actual trolls breaking norms just for trolling purposes). So it is hard to tell who is just different and who is just trolling. Experience can help, within limits.

It isn't hate for the people, it's a hate for the nonsense societal pressure to accept obesity for something it isn't and to pretend that it isn't unhealthy, simply because we don't want to hurt feelings.
Obesity isn't beautiful, it's unhealthy. The truth sucks, and often hurts. But it's about time we stop walking on eggshells worrying about egos (we don't do it with men) and stop accepting it as a means for fast food corp America to see fat people food without them feeling guilty.

No. That's just one "section" of the fat acceptance movement-those are the crazy people, the "feminazis" if you will. The actual goal isn't "let's make men feel like shit. The actual fat acceptance movement is what I said before. Just accept people are fat and don't be a dickhole about it. That's the real goal.

But most people here assume when people ask questions, they want answers. If someone overweight asks why people aren't interested in them, if they think that's why, they say so.

No hate from me. As someone who has lost more than 100 pounds, I know how soul suckingly miserable it is to be fat, so I hate when people lie to themselves that it's OK to be fat.

I have less back pain, less joint pain, more energy, better sleep, don't run out of breath as easily, and have better posture.

I also receive more compliments about my appearance from all kinds of people, young or old, man or woman, so I have more self confidence and better body image.

I lived it, so I'm in a position to speak about it.
