Why is it socially acceptable for a girl to reject a guy solely because he is short?

A close friend of mine is around 5'4 and a number of girls have rejected him solely because he is short. They actually say that to his face. A couple of days ago, he asked a girl out, she was with her friends, and they all literally laughed at him. Well, it was more like snickering, but still. I felt so bad for him. He tried not to show it, but I could see that it hurt him a lot. The thing is, that he is a great guy. It's things like that that make me appreciate being 5'11.

If a guy rejected a girl because she was overweight (which she actually has control over), or her breast size, all hell would break loose. Let alone actually telling the girl to her face for Gods sake!

Why is that socially acceptable? Also, why is it that a lot of girls are completely turned off by short guys? In terms of strength and protection, the guy I am talking about could (and has) kick (ed) my ass easily lol.

So I dated a guy for 3 years who was 3-4 inches shorter than me. It's obviously not a "turn off" for me but I've also dated taller guys who I prefer. Honestly I know I prefer them because of my own insecurities because I'm not the smallest (not chubby or anything) but I don't like feeling like I'm too big for them, not just height but how thin/scrawny. Not because I see anything wrong or not ok, but because of my own shit.

Let me turn it around slightly though. You said you appreciate that you're taller (nothing wrong with that) but what if a 6 foot 3 ish girl was interested in you? Same situation but then you'd have to decide, being tall already, if you then wanted to date someone taller than you. You might be fine with it but many, many guys would not be.

And honestly I can't change my height, my boobs, or my face so f someone decides they don't like something I won't get mad about it. If they consider me too fat, too skinny, tall, short, etc that's their own deal and I have mine too and no one should feel bad about it.

The girls you're talking about were obviously wrong with what they did and I hope they feel bad because you know there's guys nitpicking them too. People are vain as a whole, and sadly it gets shown in hurtful ways

I think people have the right to reject others for whatever they want. Though, they should be considerate of the other person's feelings when rejecting. Plenty of tall girls get rejected cuz they're tall. I have overweight friends, and they get rejected in horrible ways as well. Sometimes. Depends how much of a dick the person is. One of my friends was almost anorexic cuz not only would she get rejected badly, but guys would make fun of her. It's fucking rude as fuck. I think people need to learn to be considerate.

Why do so many guys like big boobs/big asses? They can try to rationalize it but a lot of attraction is innate and biological.
But if I must try- tallness is associated with masculinity. Traits that are characteristically masculine will be attractive in men same way characteristically feminine traits will be attractive in women.
Also a lot of women enjoy feeling a lot smaller than their guy.

However, the human brain is more prone to nature and nurture more than anything else with a brain. If it's nature then why can I get attracted to thin girls too? Why does small butts attract me too? Why do other races and girls of multiple height attract me? What's wrong with my nature? I guess I'm not as natural? Does that mean my brain isn't as good? Since it controls all these things.

Penis size from a biological standpoint and natural standpoint makes sense. If the penis is longer it has a better chance of successful reproduction. Let's not even debate on the sexual stimulation advantages. If "bigger is better" then why isn't penis size (something that literally has to do with sex) not also included into the "natural pool"? I'll tell you why. Because people choose what nature they want to include and what they don't include. Even if it's subconsciously.
